    We have just returned from a week at Placid Village as a family of 5 (3 children aged 11months, 5 and 8). We went with friends who have 3 children aged 7,9 and 12. Check in was very quick and easy. There are not many apartments so the pool is never crowded. We always had sunbeds and there were always spare ones. The pool area is immaculate. Pool is a perfect size and the little circular pool is about 2ft deep so it’s great for little ones to splash about in. There’s a small area next to reception that caters for breakfast although we didn’t use this. They do however have drinks in the fridge at a very reasonable price (€2) for all fizzy drinks and large bottles of water. They also sell ice creams. Apartments are big! All very modern and usually the beds are rock hard but these beds were like being in your own. Daily maid service with beds being made, clean towels and bins emptied. They provide towels for by the pool as well as for washing. There’s a washing machine and dishwasher. The kitchen is fully equipped. We walked to the local mini shop which was a 10 minute walk to grab essentials and pool floats etc. then from there it took about 5 more minutes to get down to the centre. Carvoeiro centre is absolutely lovely. Every single restaurant we ate in had incredible food. The area is family friendly, a lovely atmosphere and doesn’t feel too touristy. Highly recommend staying here!

    5/5 – Absolutely Amazing Stay at Placid Village!

    I stayed at Placid Village in Carvoeiro from the 7th to the 13th of July with three friends, and we had the most amazing time. We booked a two-bedroom apartment which was lovely, spacious, and spotless. It was cleaned daily, which was such a nice touch and made our stay even more comfortable.The reception staff were incredibly kind and helpful — they allowed us to check in early at no extra cost and assisted us with our bags and any questions we had throughout our stay. Their warm hospitality really stood out.The location was perfect — peaceful yet close to local shops and amenities, with beautiful views all around. It made getting around so easy, and the setting felt both relaxing and scenic.We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Myself and the girls had a great time, and I would definitely stay at Placid Village again. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Carvoeiro!

    Excellent accommodation. Apartments are modern, spacious, well-appointed & cleaned by housekeeping regularly. Located in a quiet area of town which is very peaceful but walkable from the town centre or a short taxi ride away (€6). Pool area is generally quiet, clean & tidy. Plenty of loungers to accommodate. Pool itself is lovely, perfect for cooling off in high temps. Complex has a newly built Padel court which is great & a massive roof terrace which is lovely at sunset. Various communal terraced areas on the surrounding lawns to chill out or socialise. Staff at Placid Village are fantastic. Very friendly & only too happy to help with any requests for assistance. Can’t fault them at all. Our party (family of 6) wouldn’t hesitate to return in future. Recommended without hesitation.

    We arrived at placid village and went to reception to check in we were greeted by a miserable lady with zero people skills ! The apartment however was lovely spacious and had everything you needed so was not disappointed with that.In the evening we found the apartment a little noisy we were on ground floor and could hear dinning chairs being scraped about also a loud droning sound which I think was when the guests upstairs used the hot water, no mirrors in bedrooms, nice pool although unfortunately was not heated ! The apartment was extremely clean. The apartments are at the top of a hill so if you are elderly or unfit it would be a struggle.

    Week holiday with partner and kids. We were all really impressed with the spacious accommodation, which had everything you’d need for self catering. Placid itself is small, quiet and relaxing. Kids loved pool and free padel court/facilities. Staff really friendly and helpful. Location 10-15 mins walk from main resort.
