Location

This hotel is located in the midst of 250 m² of beautiful gardens, right in the heart of the tourist area of Portimao. It is 1500 m to the nearest sandy/pebble beach. There are several shopping areas surrounding the hotel where guests may explore the different shops, boutiques, bars and restaurants. Public transport departs from a stop approximately 500 m from the hotel.

Facility

5 suites and 60 double rooms are located on 7 storeys and can be reached by lift. The multilingual staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a drinks machine. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops as well. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a TV room. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. A balcony is included as standard in some rooms. Guests are sure to get a good night's sleep in the double bed. Extra beds can be requested. A safe provides secure storage for guests' personal property. Other features include a direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge). The bathrooms have a shower, a bathtub and a bidet. The pleasantly heated water of the indoor and outdoor pools guarantees comfortable swimming.     Room was very comfortable, clean and beds were nice.Air con worked well when all doors and windows are shuts properly.Bathroom was spacious and hot water.Breakfast was excellent with lots of variety 👌 Staff were fine but not over welcoming with greetings. Paulo was helpful though.No outside pool as shown in pictures, this was a let down for us as we wanted to swim and relax by pool with sun.Indoor looked okay but didn't use it .Location was a 15 min walk to restaurants but uber is available too.Beaches were busy and okay. Seen lots of nicer beaches in Europe 🇪🇺 Ciao

    Good and friendly staff, not a good hotel

    I would give 5 stars out of 5 to the staff, very friendly,very helpful and efficient. However every thing else i would give one star at most. Beds felt like as if they were made out of rocks, not a single night of good sleep. Our reservation said every room has a balcony and a refrigerator, our's had neither,we had to ask separately for the balcony and luckily we got one but no luck for the refrigerator,so we ended up drinking warm water while at our room. We didn't try the inside pool but it looked very sad. The breakfast is basically scrambled eggs,ham,some cheese, fruits, and some pastries, the coffee is machine coffee and it was bad. No outside pool but we were told so in advance. I was at 2 stars hotels before,and this one by far the most expensive. I had better sleep and better breakfast at 2 stars hotels also. I feel bad to write this review because the staff at the hotel are super friendly,and the city is beautiful.

    Clean honest hotel in its facilities. Don't expect luxury and you will be satisfied.The Hotel was not full, so I had a more boutique hotel experience. I stayed in the top floors, so I had a view over to the sunrise which was great.About the staff, they are just perfect. From Front Desk, to the cleaning, to the breakfast staff, everyone was perfect. They even had good pillows, so... You get the point.It's a 2 star hotel with a 5 star staff ready to help with what you need.Will visit again with no doubt.

    I read the reviews that people put on here and wondered if they stayed in the same place we did , it's clean but that's it , the manager was rude it was noisy and when we complained we was told it's a 2 star hotel what do you expect ! There was no kettle or fridge so if you wanted a drink walk for 20 minutes. The breakfast was no good . And if you want to sleep forget it . We were put in a room by the outside door which was banging all night and the local cockrel was screaming and the dogs howling . Couldn't spend another night there so we are in another 2 star by the beach and guess what they supply a kettle and a fridge !

    We stop here at least twice a year, absolutely love it!Rooms are spacious, clean and most have great views. Alex, behind the reception has become a friend over the years.Breakfast is great with a large selection of breads, cereals, fruit, scrambled eggs etc etc. 2 min walk to the great outdoor pool and a fantastic bar called ‘Bar Pomba’ Henrique is a great guy who sells beers, wines and snacks etc, his sardine toastie is to die for!20 min walk into Portimao, through little streets with shops and bars.Our favourite beaches are around Tres Castillos and Vao, and the beaches on Ferragudo which can be accessed by a ferry taxi (8€ return) by the museum. Keep up the good work Mirachoro SolCan’t wait until next June 😎
