  A lovely week in this Porches destination

  We spent 8 nights here recently and couldn't fault it. It was low season so very quiet and the restaurant and bar were closed. But the apartment was perfect, very clean, plenty of space for a family of five. The rooms were cleaned and new towels provided three times during our stay. It's about a 15 minute walk to the beach which is gorgeous and about 15 also to the local supermarket and some restaurants. The free shuttle to the town was very handy. The only down side for us was that the pool was very cold for the kids but this is the case in most places when you come in March. Would highly recommend it for families or couples, great value for what you get and a nice location or discover the coastline.

  Lovely quiet place, great value and spacious.

  A lovely quiet apartment complex and very good valueWe checked in with no problems and the staff member showed us to our rooms. Our apartment was to the side of the complex and overlooked a small grass area. Keep an eye for the goat farmer around lunch time that walks by with his herd, you will hear the bells before you see them. Apartment was clean, spacious, we had a one bedroom apt, with 2 adults in double bed (2 singles together) and 1 teenager on the pull out bed.The pool area was nicely spaced out, plenty of beds and not too busy. Even when busy it was big enough for people to enjoy. You had your own umbrella in the apartment to bring down to the pool. Try not to forget it coming from the apartment or pool! Pool toilets were underground and a bit dark sometimes, not sure how often they are cleaned. Cafe/barThe cafe had lovely food and pastries (try the pastel de natas). The staff were very smiley and pleasant. There was music 2 nights we were there and there was good craic and a few people up dancing which was lovely to see.Location short walk to several beaches down big hills! Cliff top views are a must and lovely photo opportunity. The taxis are so cheap so don't hesitate to order them. Uber was really easy to use to order.Shuttle busThere's a complex shuttle bus that's free to bring you to the nearest town. There's a nice beach and beachside walk along the town with shops and restaurants. ShopsThere is a large super market up the top of the road about 15min walk. It has absolutely everything you need and reasonably priced. They have a small pharmacy section too.Dining/drinksThere are a few restaurants a short walk from the complex. They only seem to be able to process cash tips, you cant tip by card just to bare in mind.Quirinu's Wine&grill is a must. Reasonably priced and unbelievable food.Tasca 26 was very nice and tasty food.Lords Algarve bar was nice food but a bit expensive.Vila de Italia was lovely food and reasonably priced.Blues bar we just had drinks and they have a dartboard.

  Highly recommended these apartments. We stayed as a couple in a 2 bed duplex apartment. Room was cleaned three times and towels changed twice in the week we were there. Fully equipped kitchen including washing machine Beds comfortable and plenty of bedding and towels. Lovely pool although it was too cold to swim in November. Handful of restaurants within walking distance and a supermarket 5 minutes walk away. Plenty of parking if you hire a car although we just used the Bolt app for cheap taxis. Would recommend the Blues Bar for Sunday lunch and the Indian on the same road for delicious good value curry.

  A well run complex although some distant from beaches has its own compensations

  Info regarding renovation of hotel etc was sketchy initially but staff etc handled the closure and transfer of facilities professionally. The duplex villas which are separated from the resort are in good condition and quite spacious. The surrounding Porches area is made up with new up market developments and private villas. Altogether a satisfying holiday and we could well see us returning when it reopens when the refurbishment is completed

  A really lovely stay

  We so loved our stay here, this is our second year and won't be the last. We paid extra for the breakfast which was 2 cereal, baked beans, scrambled/boiled eggs, fried bacon with a nice choice of breads, Meals at the complex are extremely tasty well priced & good options available for all.If you'd like to go to the town or beach there's a free transfer bus except Sunday.Rooms are spacious and comfortable, the staff are delightful.Theres a major refurbishment project just about to begin at the complex in time for next year promising a even better experience for guests.Theres a few restaurant's close by should you choose to dine out.Absolutely delighted with our stay and as always its the people that you meet that contributes to a lovely stay and we were very lucky to have met such lovely people during our holiday. Will absolutely return here again.
