Location

This is a stunning beach resort, located in the western Algarve, commanding breathtaking ocean views and overlooking a traditional Portuguese fishing village with secluded golden beach, lapped by turquoise seas. Guests are a 10-minute walk from the shops, restaurants, bars and the beach, and the centre of Lagos is approximately 15 km away. Portimão is around 35 minutes by car and Lagos Zoo and the protected natural park are both approximately 20 minutes’ drive. Faro Airport is around 100 km away.

Facility

English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. A baggage storage service, a safe and a cash machine are available. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The holiday village offers various facilities for guests with disabilities. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere. The grounds of the complex feature a playground and a lovely garden. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the car park. Further services include a 24-hour security service, a babysitting service, a childcare service, a car hire service, a transfer service, room service, an alarm call service, a laundry service and a hotel shuttle bus. Rooms

Air conditioning and individually adjustable heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can enjoy the sea view from a balcony or terrace. Rooms have a double bed, a queen-size bed or a king-size bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. Additional features include a refrigerator, a stovetop, a microwave, a tea/coffee station and a dishwasher. Other amenities available include a washing machine and an ironing set. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels, a radio and WiFi (no extra charge) provide all the essentials for a comfortable holiday. Sport

Guests can work out or just relax in the outdoor and indoor pools. Kids can splash about in a special swimming area just for them. A sun terrace, sun loungers, and parasols are available. Refreshing drinks are served at the poolside snack bar. The complex offers outdoor sports, including cycling/mountain biking, golf and fishing or, for a fee, paddle tennis. Water sports on offer include windsurfing or, for a fee, canoeing and diving. Sport and leisure facilities at the holiday village include a gym and yoga.     Very happy overall with our stay here. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. There was never a problem when asking them for a lift up and down the bank to the beach. The setting is clean and the area lovely and quiet. The accommodation is spacious and cleaned daily by the staff to a high level. The bar staff at the pool were very pleasant and made great cocktails! The only criticism is the umbrellas around the pool area really could all do with replacing. Allot of them are broken and a number of them blew over just missing children and guests. Hopefully this will be acted upon. We would really like to return one day. Thank you for a great holiday!

    Love love love this hotel and this area! This is the only hotel we have ever returned to, and we have already booked next year for the third time. The apartments are spacious, spotless, with all amenities including dishwasher and washing machine (great to avoid those ryanair baggage charges). They are cleaned daily by wonderful ladies, who come in when you're out and make everything like new again! Each apartment even has it's own private grass garden with sunbeds. It was my birthday this year and they were able to arrange a cake for my husband, to be delivered in time for breakfast. Highly recommend. I see reviews on here about the pool being cold but heated pools are a rarity in Portugal so if you come in October, well.....Also, people complain about the plastic mattress protectors but you can take them off, they're not superglued to the mattress!! If you stay here though, hire a car, because it's a little bit off the beaten track and there are many beautiful places to visit. Lagos, Luz, Carvoeira, St Vincent's, Silves, the list goes on. All within an hours drive xx

    Booked 1 night. Went a bit earlier and the front desk person was so nice to people in front of me and when it came to me he was so rude! I turned around and left. Went down the street to Salema Beach Hotel on the beach! And they were amazing!

    We had a great stay at Nau Salema Beach Village and would happily recommend it to anyone thinking of going.The accommodation was excellent. We stayed in a three bedroom villa which was very clean, spacious and well equipped. Having our own kitchen plus a dishwasher and washing machine made things much easier, especially with the extra space for drying clothes.All of the staff we came across were friendly and helpful throughout and always happy to sort anything we needed. The pool area is lovely and well looked after. The water was a bit on the cold side, but we went in April so that’s to be expected. One of the best things was the buggy service. It takes you down to the beach and will pick you up again with a quick phone call, which saves the walk back up the steep hill. It runs until midnight during peak season (from 1st April) which is really handy. Outside of peak times, the last pick up is around 7:30pm.There are quite a few good restaurants nearby. Our favourite was Atlantico, the food was excellent and the staff were really welcoming, so definitely worth a visit.We also took a trip to Lagos, which is a lovely place to wander around. There are plenty of shops, bars and a great beach. It’s well worth going if you have the time.Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely come back. It exceeded our expectations.
