    From the entrance to the apartment everything was just perfect. I had booked a 2 bed apt and in my booking it was clear there were 2 toddlers with us, there was a cot provided and when I requested a second it was with us in minutes. We had a ground floor apt and was perfect, spacious and spotless with a very spacious terrace area overlooking the pool. There was daily cleaning and towel change if we wanted. Staff were amazing a couple of names who stood out were Ana, Graca, Paulo and the other man who worked along side him, apologies can't remember his name, and Katherine. The pool are was lovely and I noticed some activities daily. All in all 12 out of 10 stars.

    Just back from a lovely week at this hotel. Lovely staff. Great spacious rooms. Great breakfast..tried the evening meal at the hotel but it wasn't great .ate out in Alvor which is a 10 minute drive via Uber . Rooms spotless..beach about a 10 minute walk. we look forward to returning to this hotel. The only thing that is missing is a small supermarket where you can get some basics

    What’s not to like.

    Spent a week at the Estrella do vau hotel ,just reopened for summer season so was nice and quiet,plenty of sunbeds available without putting towels down.Apartment was spacious,spotless and had everything we needed for a weeks self catering stay.The decor is a bit dated but has its charm.Lovely pool area again well maintained,small restaurant for takeaway and snacks available for reasonable value.The hotel is out of the way so Uber or a car rental is recommended,Ubers very cheap and reliable,it’s about 3 km to Praia de Rocha and Alvor which are walkable,Portimão is a little further away.We ate one evening in the Shell bar as it was raining torrential and felt the food was of poor standard and overpriced,there’s a 100 euro deposit required and Tourist tax of 28 euro for 2 people,pool towels available as part of your deposit,nice to the see the tourist tax been spent improving footpaths in the area compared to when we stayed previously.All in all a good holiday that met our needs and would consider returning if in that part of the Algarve again.

    A decent hotel for the relatively inexpensive price we paid. Could use a lick of paint with cracks in walls (some cracked tiles here and there) but the room is clean, the pool is decent albeit a little chilly and the staff are friendly and helpful enough. Stayed in far worse places.     Wonderful time with amazing staff

    Had a lovely 10 day stay with the kids. Lovely staff and housekeeping were amazing. Pool area a good size with plenty of room and very clean. Area is only a 5 min drive into alvor and is a lovely walk if that takes your fancy. Would defo recommend and consider coming back. Thanks for a wonderful holiday Estrela do vau!!
