A Fantastic Stay at Vale de Milho Village

    rating23 Oct 2025

We had a fantastic stay at Vale de Milho Village! The accommodation was excellent – spotless, comfortable, and perfectly equipped with everything we needed. From start to finish, the team ensured our stay was smooth and enjoyable, and we couldn’t have asked for more. The location was perfect – peaceful, beautiful, and ideally placed for exploring the area. It truly felt like we’d stumbled upon a hidden gem. We left feeling completely relaxed and already planning our next visit. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a perfect getaway. We’ll definitely be back!

    Far from what was advertised!

    rating30 Jun 2025

The experience fell far short of expectations due to misleading advertising, poor maintenance. The listing for the three-bedroom villa included the following statements:"From the first-floor balcony you can enjoy a view of the lake.""Townhouses each with its own private garden and swimming pool, overlooking a natural lake with an ocean backdrop view."These descriptions are entirely inaccurate in relation to Villa No. 23. There was no view of the lake whatsoever from any part of the property. This is a clear case of false advertising.Additionally, the photos shown during booking are not representative of the actual garden and pool area at Villa No. 23. The images suggest a spacious, well-maintained garden with a rectangular pool. In contrast, what we arrived to was:A tiny, triangular garden barely large enough for a small family to use.A plunge pool, not the full-sized pool implied, with one corner cut off.A mud strip beside the pool, with dumped safety equipment at the bottom.Overgrown, poorly maintained hedges and a small triangle of patchy grass. The outdoor space was oppressive, unattractive, and not suitable for relaxing, which was one of our primary reasons for booking a villa of this size. When I raised this issue directly with your manager, Georges, I was simply told, "the plots differ" and thanked for my feedback. This response was entirely unsatisfactory, especially given that Villa No. 23 has a significantly smaller plot compared to other three-bedroom villas on the property.Additional ConcernsCleaning: We were told cleaning would occur on alternate days, but no cleaning was done during our stay.Noise: Ongoing building work nearby caused loud noise even inside the villa, further impacting our ability to relax.Overall, our family was extremely disappointed by the disparity between what was advertised and what was delivered. We chose this property with the expectation of enjoying time together in a private, serene outdoor setting — an experience we were categorically denied.

Not like the photos ! Small enclosed postage stamp garden and pool- tired resort !

    rating03 May 2025

My family and I have previously stayed at Quinta do Algarvio owned by the same group. This time we thought we would try Vale Do Milho as my parents were coming with us and we needed a x3 bedroom propery. The photos looked great and the x3 beds occupied a larger plot so enough space for x5 adults. On arrival after an early morning flight we were tired and just wanted to unpack. We were given the keys to our townhouse and told that the router had been stolen and that the previous occupants had left it in a mess. The entire resort looked shabby and tired with flaking plaster everywhere. We unlocked the door to find an extremely tired property with the tiniest garden and pool you could imagine. We could not have put x5 chairs around it let alone x5 sunbeds. The hedges were so high it felt like a dark gloomy prison cell. We complained and thankfully we had the pleasure of a wonderful man called Andre who listened and then tried to resolve it. It was Easter weekend so difficult but he kept trying. He moved us to a x2 bed which wasn’t ideal as my adult son had to sleep on a camp bed but it was only for one night. The following day we moved to Carveiro Gardens again owned by the same group. What a difference ! We had a luxury x3 bed villa which was light , airy , spacious and spotless. The lady on reception here was so accommodating we could not have asked for more. Our holiday started on day 2 and we would all give Carveiro Gardens x5 stars!!! Massive thankyou to Andre whom without our holiday was doomed ! He is a credit to the company he represents . Thankyou x

Lovely town houses but hate the gap in the hedge

    rating15 Oct 2024

Beautiful town house with private pool that would normally get a 5 star if I didn’t feel like I shared my holiday with my neighbours on both sides . The houses are immaculate and in a lovely area although a car is necessary to get around but Uber is plentiful and cheap to Csrvoeiro town centre . We rented a two bedroom town house which was in the middle of a terrace , there is a gap in the hedges exactly where your sun bed is to allow ease of passage of the gardeners , the problem is this makes you feel like you are sharing the area with your neighbours . You hear every work they say and see them constantly . This gap should really be at the end of the garden for privacy. We had very loud neighbours with teenage kids , thought nothing of cheering on their football team from home . We even knew the score . The houses themselves though are really lovely and new Rooms are large and have a huge balcony off the main bedroom . Fully equipped kitchen . Cleaning was done every second day and they were excellent . One thing to note is the staircase is quite steep if travelling with young kids or elderly . We have been travelling to Carvoeiro on and off for well over 20 years , this was our first time as a couple without our kids and it is still a wonderful place to spend a holiday .

    Tranquil Paradise

    rating25 Sept 2024

Can’t say enough good things about this slice if paradise - it’s simply perfect. Enjoyed our stay so so much that we are actually planning the next, and this time we are going with more people. Can’t enjoy this alone - it needs to be shared.I mean talk about perfect location - quiet, peaceful and cute. We got an upgrade to a 3 bedroom townhouse (the 2 bedroom was already going to be too big so this was like palatial), so we had tons of space to spread out. One of the rooms became our dressing room 😁.Massive kitchen, very good size dining/living room (all merging into one), then out on the linai where you could comfortably have a party with 10 people are still not feel crowded. And then the pool - ooohhhhh Lord. Cute. Mindful. Demure 😊. Two bedrooms upstairs have a balcony looking over the pool also.Massive thank you to the check in team (Andre) and also the cleaning team who constantly kept the place spotless. You made our holiday so amazing. Thank you.Tips for TravellersIf you intend to do some exploring then a rental car is a good idea. But Uber is readily available and not expensive. I would say think of what you would like to do, price up the uber trips and then check cost of rental - then decide which is cheaper. Factor in petrol and also parking - which can be a pain at times (in the towns not the Resort). There are nearby shops - do a good shop the first day and you’ll not need to have a repeat shopping trip.Carvoeiro is about €4/€5 in Uber - tons of shops and restaurants. Try out Levels for Breakfast, and for dinner go to the Tapas de Milho - both stunning.Don’t get tempted by Albufeira - it’s not cute. However they do have some nice sea excursions departing from the Marina.
