This apartment complex is located in the villa district of Costa d'Oiro just 300 m from Dona Ana beach. Lagos old town with its many shopping and entertainment venues lies 15 minutes walk away. The international airport is 85 km away.

Facility

Guests can enjoy the pleasant ambience of one of the 32 apartments. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. A variety of shops are available, including a supermarket. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional facilities include a TV room.     Good location but false pictures

    We were very pleased with the hotel’s location, the room service, and the breakfast, which were all excellent and greatly appreciated.However, we were quite disappointed to find that several aspects of our stay did not correspond to what was shown on Booking.com.The photos suggested that the rooms were located in a calm, green environment surrounded by pools and sun loungers. In reality, our accommodation was in a separate building on an adjacent street.Although comfortable, the room was extremely damp. Even with the air conditioning on, the humidity remained high and made the air quite heavy. We had to open the window to improve ventilation, but it was impossible to keep it open at night due to barking dogs, which made sleeping difficult.The room view faced a parking area rather than the gardens shown online, and there were construction works nearby — including early on Sunday morning before 8 a.m.Lastly, we found cockroaches in the bathroom.

    Tranquil oasis with Portuguese charm.

    Whilst in Lagos, we wanted a more traditional hotel. Villas D Dinis is like an oasis amidst modern hotels. Our room (No 4) was a suite with a massive double bed, a single bed and a sofa. We had a large private balcony. Some rooms have terraces but are not very private. The bathroom was well equipped with a large walk in shower. The room had a kettle, coffee maker and small fridge. There are three small pools (one is private to room 12) with sun loungers and chairs). The water was a bit cold to swim though (October). Service is exemplary. The breakfast is comprehensive. Lots of regional dishes. I had a massage whilst here (they have a massage room) which was one of the best I’ve had. The area around the hotel isn’t the prettiest but once inside Villas D Dinis you are in a tranquil oasis.

    Consider This Hidden Gem

    I am very happy that TripAdvisor has added Villas D. Dinas Charming Residence at my recommendation. This fine residence deserves your consideration! We spent four nights in an upgraded (junior suite) room. First, the downside to our experience. The staff were polite and helpful but not overly-friendly. Now for the many upsides. The breakfast options were incredible, including delicious hot protein items, fruit, juices, and pastry (a different delicious cake each morning). This was one of our best breakfast experiences of our 3-week trip. Our room was quite large and clean, with its own outside lounging area next to the pool (probably due to the upgraded room choice). Each residence (suite of rooms) has its own pool which is lovely and well-maintained. The rooms are very nice, but nothing luxurious or ultra-modern. The very nice vibe of the residence seems almost tropical with beautiful landscaping. The residence consists of a set of multiple houses, each gated and secure. A short walk to breakfast each morning. The location is very convenient and feels safe with a lot of foot-traffic in the area. Free parking is available at the residence or on the nearby residential streets. A 20-minute downhill walk to the vibrant walled city centre with so many restaurants, bars and shops. A 30-minute walk to the marina. Not easy walking back uphill to the residence if you are not in decent shape. Easy to drive or take an Uber or taxi, if needed. A short 10-minute downhill walk to a lovely beach and access to the awesome boardwalk that takes you miles along the rugged coastline overlooking the famous and picturesque caves and grottos - a MUST-do! Take your camera. If in decent shape, take the two steep set of stairs down to the water where incredible photo opportunities await, especially the second set of stairs. Take a kayaking excursion during your stay. Kayaking through the caves and grottos was one of our top two excursions during our 3-week trip through Portugal and southern Spain. I hope this longish review helps. We would love to return to stay here again in the future and think you should consider Villas D. Dinas Charming Residence during your stay in fantastic Lagos.

    From arriving at the reception. The staff are very helpful and polite. We was shown to our junior suite. There villas are spread about the grounds Was shown where the breakfast room was. Very clean and tidy. Maid came in every day and did a superb job. Bottled water every day. We had our own outdoor seating area. Grounds were well maintained and beautiful. Had a pool outside which was lovely but a bit cold for us. The breakfast was the best we have had. Staff at breakfast were always there to help. Lots to choose from. Hotel is good location too. There is very nice snack bar next to the reception.

    No. Worst ever. The staff was the worst i ever met. They didnt try to make us feel ok at all. The beds were filty and the worst staff ever met in my life. We tried to speak to staff but they only want Portuguese...the worst ever experience in our lifes
