Location

Situated in a privileged area of the city of Ponta Delgada, the hotel is served by two roads connected to the city centre, easily accessed by car or on foot. There is a mini-bus stop close to the hotel, providing transportation links with every part of the city. The hotel is only 300 m away from the harbour - Portas do Mar (considered to be the 2nd best in Europe), the marina and the wide promenade. The airport is 5 km away.

Facility

41 apartments, 6 studios and 6 double rooms are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by 2 lifts. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Services such as a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access (for a fee) is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The apartment hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional amenities include a TV room, a playroom and a library. Rooms

Air conditioning and central heating ensure that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Guests can relax on the balcony or terrace. The rooms have a double bed and a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Children's beds and extra beds can be requested for younger guests. A safe, a minibar and a desk are also available. For self-catering guests, there is a well-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, stovetop, microwave, tea/coffee station and oven. There is also an ironing set and a trouser press. Sport

Guests can work out or just relax in the outdoor and indoor pools. Kids can splash about in a special swimming area just for them. Guests can treat themselves to refreshing drinks at the poolside snack bar and a relaxing soak in the hot tub. A sun terrace, sun loungers, and parasols are available. A wide range of indoor sports are offered, including table tennis or, for a fee, a gym, billiards, callisthenics and aerobics. There is a wellness area with a spa, a hammam and a solarium and, for an additional fee, a sauna, a steam bath, a beauty salon and massage treatments. Additional leisure activities include an entertainment programme, a kids' club and a casino.

Meals

Dining facilities include a restaurant, a breakfast room, a café and a bar. Half board can be booked. A delicious breakfast is an excellent reason to rise and shine. At lunch and dinner, guests can order dishes à la carte or choose a set menu. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. The hotel also offers special catering options. Alcoholic beverages are available.

    Let’s face it when it comes to hotels the only thing that matters is a comfortable bed. This one was not comfortable. It felt like you were sleeping on box springs without a mattress. The only thing that could be said for.the beds is they were off the floor. The room itself reminded me of a college dorm..functional but not comfortable. The layout was slightly weird requiring two elevators with a long hall in between understandable for the crowded city space but inconvenient if you are a senior lady carrying luggage.     This hotel is definitely not 4 star, 2 maybe 3. The staff are very unpleasant and dismissive the first impression of hotel is neglect, garbage can in parking area overflowing, the glass windows are dirty everywhere, the elevator doors are dirty. The rooms are dated, they did upgrade us and put us in a large apartment style room which is spacious but from the ‚80‘s the bathroom is cramped and lacking extras, no outlets no storage.The biggest is charging 14.00 euros per person for breakfast that is the most underwhelming and overpriced breakfast, the staff barely made eye contact!All in all there are many faults so in general do NOT book Maria Goreti Furtado, Marketing at Antillia Hotel, responded to this review Hello David, thank you for your stay.     STAY ELSEWHERE!! Unfriendly staff literally rolled his eyes when I asked where the restaurant was. Ridiculous layout. There is a surcharge for everything. Rock hard beds and pillows make rest impossible. I don understand how they dare rate themselves 4 stars.     Very nice hotel downtown

    This is a very convenient hotel downtown, walkable to lots of stuff. The staff is very helpful, the parking is convenient (although not free), the room was clean and nice. I especially enjoyed the balcony on lovely evenings. To be honest I was out enough I didn't partake in the pool or gym much but I did have breakfast two mornings which was pretty decent.
