Location

The hotel is located in the historic centre of Angra do Heroísmo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1983. Having a privileged location in the main square of the city, the hotel is situated in the beautiful Municipal Garden, offering every visitor a magnificent walk to the Memory Belvedere with an outstanding view over the city. The nearest beach is around 300 m away.

Facility

120 non-smoking rooms are located on 4 storeys and can be reached by 2 lifts. The reception desk is open round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access (for a fee) is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities. There are a number of shops as well. Guests of the hotel can enjoy various recreational facilities, including the garden, during their stay.     Very good hotel in the main square of Angra do Heroísmo right in the heart of the city near several bars and restaurants. Rooms were clean and nicely furnished. Rooms on the cobbled stone road side can be noisy due to traffic. Ask for garden view rooms.

    This is a lovely hotel with great staff. It has plenty of amenities including breakfast, wellness center, perfect location. Only problem the beds were so uncomfortable- they are fine if you prefer extra firm mattress.     Hotel is in the heart of Angra and our room overlooked the most fabulous, well tended gardens I have seen anywhere in the world. The hotel fully justified its four stars but with one exceptional addition - the staff. Each and every single person from the staff we dealt with were friendly, highly professional and kindly.     I loved this hotel! It is more like an inn, not fancy yet perfectly situated. My room had a balcony overlooking the town square. Pool is a hidden gem. Great breakfasts. Mini fridge to store my wines, happy hour, helpful staff. Yes the hallways are a bit tired.     Excellent location in center of town, short walk to everywhere.Room had small balcony with fabulous view over the botanic gardensRoom itself was small and dark, only one chair, shower in bath.Breakfast was fine, standard buffet fare. Staff were good, housekeeping a bit erratic – sometimes replenishing supplies, sometimes not.Bar was a nice spot for a drink at the end of the day.Overall recommended – good, basic accommodation, reasonable price, in excellent location Irina Pimentel, Other at Azoris Angra Garden - Plaza Hotel, responded to this review Dear Bruce, thank you for evaluating our hotel and our services.
