    Delicious small plates available in the bar.

    I liked the hotel. My room was dated but comfortable. At checkin the staff member who helped me was not particularly welcoming or friendly or informative. When I asked about food, he waved me on to the restaurant -- it was difficult to understand how dinner worked (buffet only in the dining room, but small plates available in the bar, which is what we would have preferred, but didn't know until the next day). The next morning, I asked him for a location in town and his instructions were unnecessarily confusing. I want to give a big shout-out to the bellhop Rodrigo for providing excellent, friendly, honest service---he deserves a promotion!     A Great location on the Hill with a view of ocean and Pico

    An excellent guest service from the staff in all departments. Rooms are spacious. Very comfortable beds. Bar has a great selection of drinks and light meals. Breakfast buffet is excellent. Eggs, meats, cheese and fruits. Very convenient location. Walking distance to marina and restaurants and other attractions.DOWN SIDE IS :Main dining room doesn’t open till 7.30pm. Very late so you have to eat outside before.     Very nice setting in city center with very good views (so long as you book an ocean view room). Easy walk to Main Street. The exterior and grounds are beautiful, however the interior is dated and bed leaves much to be desired. The resort has a lot of potential but probably not enough cash flow to afford an update. The staff is very friendly. The restaurant is ok including the breakfast buffet which has a lot of options albeit all average. The mattress was the sole reason for the poor rating - they really need to update them.     Great Hotel in Horta

    Great Hotel, with expansive views of the city and harbour. Enjoyed a fantastic waterview room, very large and well appointed with balcony and views. Breakfast buffet is expansive, with lots of local breads and other dishes. Didn't try the restaurant, but enjoyed a light meal in the bar.     I was dining alone at the hotel’s pool bar and expected a quiet meal— but thanks to Bruno, it turned into a highlight of my trip! He was so kind and funny, even performed a little show while serving my food, which had me laughing and enjoying everything even more. Amazing food, great service, and an unexpectedly great evening.
