    Nice hotel centrally located with exceptionally helpful and friendly staff. We arrived at 6:15am from our overseas flight and they invited us to have breakfast and store our bags. There is an elevator for anyone on the third floor. Plenty of outlets in the rooms which are pretty basic. Only body wash no shampoo or conditioner so bring your own. Breakfast is okay. Lots of breads and cheeses but I’m not sure what the bacon and sausages were made of! Did I mention the staff was fabulous! It is minutes away walking from the city center so very convenient. Across the street is INTZ48, a great coffee and lunch spot, and the hotel restaurant is really good too. Best steak we had on the island and we suggest you make a reservation.

    Great location, well appointed for getting around the town. Friendly,helpful staff. Room comfortable with everything you need. Self service breakfast is fabulous with a large choice of foods. The hotel also has a restaurant attached which serves the best steak we have ever had. Would highly recommend this hotel.

    Stayed at Alcides Hotel recently and loved its central location. The staff was super friendly! Downside: no parking on-site, so you need a rental car, but there’s free parking about a ten-minute walk away. Rooms are tiny, but that’s expected for an older European spot. Basics are covered, but the bed was rock-hard—I was glad to have my own pillow. It’s labeled 2 stars, but I’d say it deserves 3. Giving it 4 stars because it’s a great deal for the price!

    Hotel is located in central Ponta Delgada about 10 mins in a taxi from Airport. Hotel also is a restuarant which was pretty busy the days i was there but think it closes Sunday. Check in was easy with a 24 hr reception. Room was comfortable but basic. Breakfast was good different options hot and cold. Defo a good option, near all the main sights, tourist office bus and taxi ranks

    Stayed here for 6 nights and had a basic but neat, clean and comfortable room. The hotel is in a great location if you plan to explore on foot. Staff was well organized and helpful, and breakfast was good as well, with a lot of options. I had a room overlooking the street, which is a fairly busy pedestrian street, and I was warned that it might be noisy on the weekend, but the windows were surprisingly well soundproofed and I was not bothered one bit.
