Location

The city hotel is surrounded by green fields, vineyards and the blue sea. Guests will find shops, bars and restaurants in the centre of Santa Cruz, approximately 1.5 km from the business hotel. Praia and its beach is around 10 km from the airport hotel and other nearby places of interest include Furna do Enxofre (20 km away), Carapacho lighthouse (15 km away) and the islet of Baleia (10 km away).

Facility

The property includes 6 villas/houses as well as 52 rooms, including 2 suites and 43 double rooms. English-speaking staff at the reception are happy to assist guests at the reception desk round the clock. Check-in and check-out are available 24 hours a day. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities. A lift and wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket, are great for shopping or just browsing. The grounds of the hotel feature a playground and a lovely garden. Additional facilities include a TV room.     The best in Azorean hospitality in the middle of the Atlantic

    Staying here was such a treat! This is maybe the best customer service I have experienced living and traveling in the Azores for the past seven years. Every staff member at this pretty and immaculately clean hotel went above and beyond to make my stay as comfortable as possible, and they always did so with a genuine smile. Thanks so much to all of you! This place makes a great home base when visiting Graciosa, as it's within a 10-minute walk to town, restaurants, and a beautiful swimming beach. Even so close to the city, it feels immersed in nature. The hotel itself has a fresh, bright, clean feeling, with a lovely bar/restaurant and pool area. I didn't get to use the pool as it was winter, but I imagine that spending a few days here lounging by the pool in summer would be wonderfully relaxing.

    Our stay at the Hotel was excellent from the beginning up til we left. We ate all our meals at the Hotel, the food was great, well presented, the wait staff was amazing, the chef even came out one time to greet us, very professional, courteous, friendly and willing to get whatever you wanted or needed. One of the days happened to be my birthday and everyone went out of their way to wish me a happy birthday, when we got back to our room there was sparkling wine along with greetings, even the cleaning staff created a birthday cake out of towels and posted birthday cards. Overall can’t say enough good about them and this will be our destination stay when in Graciosa.

    The hotel is so nice, clean, quiet, equipped, staff friendly. There were not a lot of guests and hotel restaurant is open only for breakfast since winter is approaching but we had a good time. The room, with the bathroom, balcony were very comfortable, with all our needed amenities. Breakfast was also good with hot food, fresh fruits, bread and pastries, coffee and juice well provided.Checkin and checkout were quick. We had one problem about the sink not draining as fast, but they were receptive when we reported it.Nice hotel to stay in Graciosa, 15-20 mins nice walk to Santa Cruz center to get some delicious food.

    Arrived early around noon and were told we could not have our room until 4. They said they were full and vey busy. Hotel was empty for the 2 days we were there.they gave us a room overlooking the parking lot and even though the hotel was empty wouldn’t give us a room that looked towards the ocean without charging another 39 euros a a night, the restaurant was closed, limited staff and an old moldy smell that they covered with some sort of smelling oil or cleaner. The room was clean. The hallways are dark on a sensor that turns lights on when you get to it. The gym had old Ruth at was mostly it working. Would never go back.

    When Amoma went out of business I contacted the hotel about my booking and received a confirmation that my booking was secured by another company. When arriving there was no booking. They tried to sell me the room at rackrate price which I did not want to pay. Agreeing to EUR60 per night incl. halfboard. After checking out I received a mail that they "forgot" to charge me for my dinners and asked me to pay extra. Checking my bill I found out that they already charged me EUR70 per night (not the EUR60 as agreed) and then they have the ordasity to try to get me to pay more!!! They actually have to refund me EUR24!!The socalled resort is located in the outskirts of Santa Cruz, it might have been very modern once, but is falling into disrepair.Breakfast is simple and the morninglady absolutely unfriendly and not suitable working with people. The young man at dinner did his best and was friendly. Couldnt help feeling like a second class guest. Out of the 3 dinners 2 of them were awful, lukewarm and with flaccid potatoes. No vegetables or salad.Not worth the money, and 4 star it is NOT!
