    Wanted: a conveniently-located comfortable hotel. Found: the Hotel Matriz. Flight delays from Lisbon meant I arrived after midnight but the night manager took care of all my needs. A comfortable room but looking out on a major building project - the only thing to see from my window. I didn't come here for the view, so no problem (although the noise at my siesta time was a bit invasive). In the room, everything I would expect of this category hotel. Breakfast was adequate but, after a week, it gets a bit repetitive. Car parking (free) is three floors below the hotel and best if the rental car is SMALL! Would I stay there again? ABSOLUTELY!

    We had a very nice stay. The property was fine although nothing special except the great location. There didn't seem to be a lot of other hotels near the city center and this one's location certainly made for an enjoyable visit to Puerto Delgado.

    After leaving our first accommodation after 2 nights of a 7 night stay because of road noise we found this gem of a hotel. The reception was very friendly and helpful. We had a lovely quiet room whist still being central to all the city offered. Breakfast was nice too. Thank you for all your help.

    My wife and I had a great stay at Hotel Matriz. We definitely felt like guests not customers. All the staff were excellent particularly Maria at Reception.Very comfortable with a good lounge. Just a short walk to all the central sights and numerous great restaurants. Will definitely stay again.The car parking was a major bonus with ample space on three underground levels.

    Totally decent budget hotel. Centrally located, clean room, polite staff at check-in (although not particularly friendly or welcoming). I only stayed here one night before heading to the airport and it was perfectly adequate for that purpose.I chose this hotel because of the free parking. Regarding the parking, note that the hotel is on a narrow one-way street so you have to approach from the north (Google Maps did not take me the correct way). It may be worth getting specific instructions from the hotel in advance. As others have mentioned, the parking is in tight quarters so I was glad I had a small car.
