Location

This establishment is located in the village of Lagoa, in relaxing surroundings on the south coast of São Miguel island. It lies surrounded by restaurants, supermarkets, banks and public swimming pools, only 1 km from the centre of Lagoa. Attractions include the Fábrica de Ceramica (1.5 km), Pópulo beach (5 km), Ponta Delgado (9 km) and Lagoa das Sete Cidades (15 km). Ponta Delgada Airport is just 20 km away.

Facility

The 3 apartments have a pleasant, inviting atmosphere. 22 villas/houses offer even more space and comfort. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service, safe, currency exchange service and cash machine. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Everyday necessities can be purchased at the supermarket. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage (for a fee) or in the car park. Other services include a car hire service, medical assistance, a transfer service, room service, a laundry service, a coin-operated laundry and a hotel shuttle bus. Rooms

Rooms feature a kitchen and a bathroom, and individually adjustable heating ensures just the right temperature. A balcony is included as standard in some rooms. The rooms have a double bed and a sofa bed. Separate bedrooms are available. Extra beds can be requested. A safe and a desk are also available. For self-catering guests, there is a well-equipped kitchenette with a refrigerator, mini fridge, stovetop and microwave. An ironing set is provided for guests' convenience. A direct dial telephone, a television with satellite/cable channels and WiFi (no extra charge) are provided as well. A shower, a bathtub and a bidet are included the bathrooms. A hairdryer is also provided. For extra comfort in the bathrooms, guests are offered cosmetic products. Wheelchair-friendly rooms can be booked. Whether more active or in need of rest and relaxation, guests can unwind at the pool complex, which includes a children's area and a total of 2 swimming pools. The complex offers an extensive outdoor sports programme, including cycling/mountain biking, golf, fishing and horse riding. Water sports enthusiasts can enjoy canoeing and diving.     The lady at reception was very polite and welcoming. You can buy drinks from the reception area/bar which was nice. The villa was spacious and had everything that we needed. We only stayed for one night but would definitely stay here for longer if we stayed in Sao Miguel again.

    It was clean, spacious and neat. Just a very decent place to stay. We only tried the television the last day. The visual was grainy.After using hot water a machine on the terras was turned on. It made a humming noise, like a fan, but this didn't last too long, just until the hot water was refilled.I was here with my parents.

    We visited on January so we got an awesome deal, it was super cheap, and we really liked the apartment but it was kinda abandoned. Literally no one on the reception (we had to wait more than an hour for someone to arrive and check us in). The stove didn't work properly, the rooms had a very strong smell of mold, probably because of humidity and also because there was no cleaning service except for once a week.I don't know if on summer is like this, but kinda disappointed because otherwise the place is very nice.

    Me and my family love it, we had a wonderful time here.The staff was very helpful and very nice .Always available and gracious.Good rooms and a nice pool. it was spacious, clean and quiet. This is a very a peaceful place.

    Peaceful stay in La Lagoa

    I was travelling to Azores with my 5 months old baby boy. It was a tranquil, enjoyable stay with all necessary amenities: pool, restaurant, wifi, equipped kitchen, private entrance and TV. We were offered a villa stay and we adored our time in La Lagoa. The apartments have central location in the town close to the main street with shops, cafes and supermarkets. Reception staff was ever so helpful and knowledgeable. Villas are bright, spacious, neatly designed and have wooden fittings and decor, spot on for an eco-friendly archipelago of Azores. Highly recommend for families or 2+2 couple travels.
