  Perfect hotel is perfect

  Perfect location. This little hotel is smack in the middle of downtown, surrounded by restaurants, shops, and all the life of the plaza-without being right on top. The people were very accommodating and friendly. They called me taxis and helped me navigate my arrival schedule. A wonderful room, 12 foot ceilings and wide windows, en suite, everything you need. Kitchen to refill filtered water or store your other snacks just down the hall. And every morning there is a basket of breakfast treats at your door?!?! I still got coffee across the street because instant is a little rough on me but I packed my daily snacks from the basket as well as breakfast. Perfect hotel was perfect.

  Disappointing start to our holiday.

  Only stayed for 2 of the 7 nights booked as road noise at night and from very early morning was awful. The windows did not have double glazing as many refurbished places had. We had to move to a quiet hotel, no refund offered. I was told that it was in a city centre and cobbles are part of their culture, I agree but most places had installed double glazing to compensate for the cobble noise.Room was lovely with a nice bathroom and shower the bed was comfortable so could have been a great stay except for the noise. The person from the company we spoke to as we left admitted that they are aware of this as others had complained too.A disastrous expensive start to our holiday.

  Stayed for a week. The bathroom was very small, but new and there was another big bathroom off the hall. Nice kitchen. Mosquito netting on window - handy for keeping the flies out! The street was a bit noisy, but with the window closed it was only noticeable on the Saturday evening - and it wasn't noisy all night. The architecture is interesting - very very high ceilings and quite ornate doors. Our very tall window had net curtains - adequate for the day - and a pull down blind which didn't quite reach the bottom of the window, and didn't keep out the light. My friend was glad she had brought an eye mask. We didn't try the breakfast baskets as we wanted to try local bakeries and coffee shops for breakfast. The welcome was fine. The manager showed us round, recommended some activities and restaurants and asked us to leave the key on the door as we left. I only gave service 3 stars, because there aren't really any services, not because the welcome was inadequate. I've only given sleep quality 3 stars, because being central (which is great) it is also a bit noisy. The pillows were slightly lumpy and the mattress covers felt like plastic under the sheets. However, I think that it is a very convenient location, clean and modern. The rooms are well equipped with lamps, hanging space, drawers etc... and nicely decorated. The towels are big enough.

  Totally overrated and overpriced

  Our room was small and dark, with a "view" to a dirty backyard. Value for money was definitely not reasonable. If the reservation has been cancellable we would have cancelled immediately after check-in. I cannot recommend this place.

  Nice stay, but pricey

  Centrally located but with heavy luggages one may find it difficult. We arrived and with the access code, we entered to find out just stairs (no lift or other facilities). The room was in contrast very nice and clean, in a old but nicely renovated building. Lots of good restaurants and shopping areas nearby and walking 2 blocks will take you to the sea and harbour. Overall, we found that the price was to the higher side.
