This resort is perfectly for a stay on Terceira island in the Azores, both for business guests and for those seeking tranquillity. The hotel offers a unique setting, close the historical centre of the charming Angra do Heroísmo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Monte Brasil is about 1 km from the hotel, Lagoa do Negro roughly 11 km, and Serra Santa Bárbara and Quatro Ribeiras are both about 21 km away.

Facility

The resort welcomes guests in a 4-storey building with 3 lifts and 139 non-smoking rooms. English- and French-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Rooms

Guests of all ages have the opportunity to enjoy a fun entertainment programme.

Meals

Various dining options are available, including a restaurant (with high chairs), a café and a bar. Catering options include bed and breakfast, half board and full board. A continental breakfast buffet guarantees a great start to the day. At lunch and dinner, guests can choose between a buffet, à la carte and a set menu. Diet meals and children's meals can be prepared on request. In addition, special catering options and snacks are available. The resort offers a selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

    Great hotel, amazing views. Super gym!!

    We really loved this hotel and had a great 3-day stay. Located right on the edge of the ocean, we had great sea views across the bay to Monte Brasil. It was only a short (and scenic!) 10-minute walk into the old city, the fort, and Monte Brasil. The free on-site parking lot was a bit crowded but we never actually had trouble finding a vacant spot to park. Our room was excellent – bright, clean and airy with great views over the bay. We had a nice balcony to enjoy the view and everything was very comfortable, really nice just sitting out there taking in the view. The breakfast buffet was amazing as well, especially with the nice sea views and the morning sun. One of the high points of the hotel was the very well-equipped gym. It is actually a commercial gym within the hotel that guests can use free of charge. It is totally complete with weights, cardio gear, box gym, and various classes. Really a great perk of staying in the hotel. We had a great stay and I’d definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers.

    Room was clean and tidy, good location with sea view, well equipped with sufficient storage to avoid 'living out of a suitcase'.However, the breakfast each day was the same and very poor quality 'hot' food usually barely warm once on the plate. I agree with another reviewer - the worst hotel breakfast I've ever experienced.Staff were polite and pleasant enough but the hotel seemed to be being run on a shoestring budget with, at some times, only one receptionist expected to book in arrivals, respond to guests' queries at the desk and respond to the telephone switchboard all at the same time. This resulted in my calls to the hotel while 'out and about' remaining unanswered when these were about matters important to me. Overall not great value for money, but the island is lovely.

    We stayed 5 nights at Terceira Mar Hotel. The setting, in gardens, with balcony views of Monte Brasil and the ocean and the pool is lovely. The path along the ocean is just outside (gated entry) to the gardens. It is an easy walk into Angra proper with many restaurant selections. The staff were friendly and professional. Our room was fine, except that we couldn't alter the temperature (no AC in the winter??) and were very warm. Opening our balcony window/door made for noisy sleeping with American Air Force personnel in residence. Breakfast buffet was good, as was the evening one we tried once. Happily stay here again.

    The hotel is in a great location and has many amenities (spa, pool, games room etc.), is close to restaurants, marina, shopping and cafes! The staff was great. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Parking is extra and charged by the hour, breakfast is extra if it is not included with your room.Lots of things to walk around and see, the location is amazing.     Great View Outside, Inside Meh

    The view and grounds are stunningly beautiful with sunsets that amaze. I knew it was a bit of extra walking to the historic downtown and that was okay for my visit. The rooms are not only clean and tidy but also tired and worn. My main complaint was the shower with old clogged showerhead and varying temps. When I can't wash soap off easily and am wary of sudden hot and cold temps I get crabby. Breakfast was nice with high quality and wide choice. Special thanks to the front desk staff for helping me with a toothbrush. Very kind.
