    BED BUGS - CIMICI DEI LETTI

    The room was extremely dirty and in the morning we woke up with bed bugs in the bed. We were bitten all over our bodies and had itching for two weeks. Disgusting. They said there was an infestation and that they couldn’t get rid of it (the receptionist mentioned that there had already been at least six complaints before ours). They refunded the room, but didn’t offer anything extra for the inconvenience. Stay away, high risk of infection.

    The hotel is located in the city center, next to the wonderful Graça market, the University of Azores, etc. The spacious rooms, are very very clean, bright and the best, the views of the dining room and especially the welcoming staff. Joana helps you in everything and more. Do not hesitate in asking them, they are soooo helpful and nice. Wonderful stay. Muito obrigada, Hotel Thomas!

    Our 1st time in Azores and hopefully not our last. Thomas Place is a very small, very friendly "place"! All staff are friendly, smiley and helpful. From free towels for the pool, to the room cleaned daily and a fresh breakfast with a beautiful view to the sea, nothing is too much trouble for the staff. There is also use of a fridge for water, etc on the top floor.. We were pleasantly surprised and hope to come back soon. Thank you, Team Thomas Place xx

    Pros: Good locationNice staff Big rooms Cons: Super small shower Rooms in the front are super noisy with the manhole cover and all the cars passing during the day. No A/C or any sort of ventilation in the room, so if you want some fresh air, you have to open the window, but it gets so noisy outside that you don’t want to open the window. If you’re staying here for more than 3 days, you’ll get bored with the breakfast because there’s absolutely no variety.

    We stayed here for 6 nights and had to change rooms after the first night due to the street noise, especially the manhole cover! The back was very quiet. Breakfasts were the usual and unvaried but fine. The real treasure is the staff. All of them were friendly and very helpful. We are staying again on the way home! Easy walking to all of the city.
