Location

This hotel lies just 5 min drive from the historic centre and Ponta Delgada marina. Links to the transport network are a short distance away, as are a selection of restaurants and bars. Praia das Milicias Beach is approximately 2 km from the hotel It is well worth taking a day trip to the lagoons: the Lagoa do Fogo lies around 20 km away and it is some 30 km to the Lagoa das Sete Cidades. Furnas may be reached by car in 1h and it is just 10 min drive to the airport.

Facility

Units include 18 suites and 207 double rooms located in an 8-storey main building and a 5-storey auxiliary building. English-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Services such as a cloakroom, baggage storage service, safe and currency exchange service ensure a comfortable stay. Wireless internet access is provided in public areas.     For a 4 star hotel this was a very bad experience. The room was poorly cleaned, there was dust on the furniture. But the worst part is that the toilet wasn't clean underneath; it was soiled with a substance that looked just like vomit. When we complained, they sent a woman to clean it, who, obviously, was unwilling to help but still tried to say that it was the cleaning detergent itself that had leaked down the toilet...it's a shame I didn't take pictures. The breakfast was also very poor for a 4 star hotel...     Poor customer service

    We are very disappointed with customer service overall we stayed at this Hotel for 11 nights always missing something in the room every day the carpets were never vacuum during the 11 days stay the room well decorated overall breakfast was the same everyday and not of very good quality for the cost of staying they definitely need to improve customer service at check out time they never thank me or ask me if we enjoy the stay.     Nice clean and fairly modern hotel. Quality of food in the restaurant for dinner is poor. Overcooked fish and meat. Poor quality of vegetables.     Music too loud in lounge. Only buffet food no a la carte. Restaurant on top floor not open. Gym equipment rusty and very worn. Carpets stained in bedroom. No restaurants or bars near hotel. Outdoor pool very small. Canvas on sun loungers sagging. Staff are friendly. Too far from town centre.
