  Underwhelming and not luxurious

  -I wished I had read the previous review before going there ,as I had serious stomachache one night after dinner.. Food and especially was indeed very average. Most of the pastries and else on the morning buffet are industrial and tasteless.-Comfort in the rooms is more than average . A bed of 160cm wide in a huge room??? why not putting a 180cm like any luxury hotel in the world. Dont try to turn off the main bedroom lights when you are in bed, they put the switch as far away as possible ?? Why??- Talking about the lights, the entire hotel (rooms, restaurant, hallways, bathrooms, etc..) are equipped with this horrendous white light bubs (4000K ) , you feel like you are in a hospital. Dreadful..- Dont try to lay down quietly on pool side, we will be just next to the main building where thay have the huge kitchen extractor fan and machinery. They didn t bother to enclose it in a local or put it somewhere else . So basically you have this loud humming sound , non stop...- Prices... Everything is completely overpriced for a hotel which pretends to be "luxury". The 5 star rating is a farce.- The good things are the location of the hotel, the river where you can swim and canoe along. An overall very overpriced and underwhelming experience.

  FOOD POISON GOT SALMONELLA AND E-COLI

  My bad review about this place is not about the service, the rooms, or the location. It is about something far more serious: food poisoning and contamination with SALMONELLA and E. COLI. I had the pleasure of staying at the hotel spa without leaving due to its remote location (I mention this because I had lunch and dinner at Aqua Village). For dinner, I had wild boar from the menu and gave my daughter a bite to try. To my surprise, we spent the entire night vomiting and had diarrhea the next day. When I checked out, I informed the front desk, and they apologized. Last week, I was diagnosed with Salmonella and E. coli, and since then, the diarrhea has not stopped. This was the only incident where I felt unwell. My biggest issue with them is that my ex-wife contacted them by email explaining what happened, and they played like it wasn't there where I had the problem. I find this VERY SERIOUS and am writing this so future customers are aware of this and AVOID EATING THERE because if something happens to you, the management will blame it on somebody else instead of taking actions. There are other dining options in the area that are likely to be more responsible regarding such a DELICATE MATTER. Avoid eating here.

  Stunning location. Worth visiting for a coffee and checking out the amazing landscape, river, pools, pods, greenery and beautiful scene. I came for coffee and ended up staying to see the wonderful sunset from the pool area. A surprising place tucked between little villages along a river,

  The staff are brilliant, the accommodation is delightful and the heated pools are superb. But, here is my very personal short list to perfection. 1. Bedside lights you can actually use for reading. 2. Tolerable audio on the flat-screen TV fixed to the wall. 3. An armchair in the living room (A recliner would be heavenly.)4. A couple of towel rails in the bathroom to dry damp towels and costumes. 5. Sufficient hangers in the cupboard to hang clothes. 6. Restful music in the dining room rather than wailing pop stars.
