Stay in this lovely little haven in Obidos!

    rating27 Sept 2026

My partner and I stayed for only one special night in September, but would have loved to stay longer! The bed was comfortable, the modern room was quiet (aside for a few doors that slammed from guests arriving), and the A/C cooled more effectively than most minisplit units I’ve experienced while traveling in Europe. On this Friday night, we were able to enjoy a lovely performance right outside our balcony, as a talented guitarist/vocalist was set up during the early evening in the garden behind the hotel that we overlooked. We enjoyed the music while we ate a yummy meal of appetizers and craft beer from the attached business, Letraria. Moreover, we were welcomed warmly, and the staff was very attentive throughout our experience. Breakfast was plentiful, and we were sad to leave this little haven after only one night. If we come again to the region, I would absolutely hope for availability in this wonderful boutique hotel nestled immediately inside the historical medieval walls of Obidos!

Loved everything: the warm welcome, warmth and disponibility of the staff, the room, good breakfast and of course the protagonist - the location.

What a fascinating location! We stayed within the walls of the castle. Our room was very nice and the hospitality was wonderful. I would highly recommend this hotel.

    Ideal overnight stay

Lovely small hotel located within the walled town. Friendly , efficient staff & surprising spacious rooms. This hotel is really well located to explore Óbidos which is charming & not to be missed. The only criticism is the breakfast which is just ok , my advice is to skip this & venture to one of the great little coffee bars a few minutes walk away.
