We stayed here for 2 nights whilst walking the Camino. Unfortunately it was Easter Sunday so the restaurant was closed which we were surprised by as hotels are usually open even on bank holidays. The reception staff were lovely and helpful. The breakfast however was a mixed experience. On the first morning there was a full buffet breakfast but on the second morning apparently there were only 5 rooms booked in the hotel so we had to ask for what we wanted!

I enjoy my stay. The hotel is tranquil, clean, and warm. Has a parking space on the ground floor, a must for me.The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast area had a fantastic view and good-quality food.Thank you to everybody at Hotel Conde d'Àgueda.

modern hotel in a good location

a very modern and tidy hotel in a good location for discovering what agueda has to offer or a short walk off the caminho.simple check in,friendly staff,my room (404)was of a good size with a very comfortable bed,good storage,mini fridge and safety deposit box and as it was on a corner it offered fine views,the bathroom was very modern and clean,at breakfast the choice was very good as was the space between customers.all in all a lovely modern hotel.

Delightful hotel and town.

The perfect place after a hot day on the Camino! The hotel is right off the trail. The town is delightful with its Umbrella Project. The hotel and staff exceeded our expectations. We would recommend this hotel!

Great experience during a difficult circumstance

I was so pleased with my experience at Hotel Conde d’Agueda. I am walking the full Portuguese Camino central route and the fires made it impossible for me to continue for a few days. Staying at this hotel made all the difference. Because of the fires, the hotel was actually short-staffed, but you wouldn’t really know it. Florbela was just the sweetest. She had a lot to manage, but she never got frustrated with the guests. She made sure I was taken care of, as well as the other Camino walkers who also had to stop walking and stay there. I watched her pay close attention to everyone’s needs, learning their names, and making sure they were taken care of for dinner and breakfast. She chatted with us and made jokes and made sure we checked out the really cool features of adorable Agueda. I personally loved the church in the park that she recommended I go see. Luciana was aLeo amazing. She remembered my name and took care of me at dinner, which was delicious, by the way. She and Florbela helped organize my taxi to the next town and I will really miss their hospitality. The public lounge areas are great and my room was lovely. It was a nice sized room and bathroom, with a great view of the town.The Portuguese are going through a very stressful time right now with these fires and a lot of their friends and families are directly affected by them. To extend such hospitality to foreigners goes above and beyond anything. I was truly touched by all of that. I highly recommend this hotel!
