I can say that the good treatment and hospitality of the reception of this hotel surprised me. He did his job very friendly and at the end he introduced the sightseeing places of the city and domestic tours on the map. In my opinion, the reception's smile and attitude will be one of the pillars of this hotel's success. And of course, the wonderful location of the hotel, which is in the center of the city, is close to the museum and shopping center, and has an independent restaurant and bar. I think they should reconsider the stars of this hotel ⭐⭐⭐⭐

    Great value and comfortable stay.

Clean, comfortable room. Excellent value -£50 b&b one night for 2. Think some other reviews expected a 4 or 5 star. Staff nice, breakfast excellent (again don’t expect more than a continental) and includes scrambled egg and bacon (strange European stuff!). It is served on the top floor overlooking the town. Didn’t have dinner, but amazing value at around £12 for 3 courses. Food looked and smelt nice. Good central location. Some noise from local pubs coming out around midnight (we were on 1st floor overlooking street) but soon died down and slept well. Very happy to return.

    A wonderful surprise

A large hotel in the centre of town close to just about everything. It is a bit old fashioned in many ways, with its late 60s décor, thick carpets and wood panelling but that’s all part of its charm. We did have a problem in the bathroom of the room that we were at first given, but after the duty manager saw the problem he swiftly made arrangements to offer us another room, which turned out to be a suite with two balconies. The bed was super comfortable, but we loved most especially the restaurant, both for the ample breakfast and evening meal, which was exceptional value - table service, pristine white tablecloths and napkins, waiter service and three courses with a bottle of wine included for just €12.50 -incredible value. If I said old fashioned, then turning the clock back to experience the way things used to be done, as the norm, was really appreciated.

    Remains of the past glory?

The hotel is really old in the sense of interiors, with some parts obviously falling of. However, it has good points, such as unbeatable price and location. It is quiet and beds are reasonably comfortable. Cleanliness is on the average side, especially the carpets. Breakfast was very humble. However, summing up, I would have evaluated the place as at least average if it was not for plumbing. Slight smell of sewage was somewhat felt all the time in, but on the last night of my stay the stench became unbearable, it has spread to the room, I had to open windows widely even though the night was rather cold.

Budget but comfortable, right in the city centre

I have stayed here twice now, and I'm sure I will stay again. Its a classic old hotel, not luxurious but it is comfortable. There is air conditioning (warm air also) and while the decor is very dated the beds are comfortable and it's quiet at night. So far I have not heard people in the rooms next door. The breakfast is pretty typical for a big old hotel, a coffee machine, juice, bread and Crossaints, jams, fruit, scrambled eggs, cheese, ham, sausages. Really for the price is pretty good, the only difficulty is the parking. It's free on weekends, you need to pay during the week or get a ticket.
