  We were on a motorcycle tour of span and Portugal and made a decision to stay at this hotel. Whilst the rooms and areas were clean, tidy and of a good standard, the staff were like cardboard. Unhelpful, unfriendly and a different version of Portuguese people that we had not previously encountered.A friendlier approach would have ensured a higher mark for the rating but everything appear too much trouble....it wasn't like they were busy. Very poor customer service would not visit again!!!

  Needs Much Better Food

  Beautifully designed hotel. Lovely room with fantastic views from the balcony. Excellent secure underground parking with access straight to room floors. Very nice staff throughout the hotel. Let down by food. Buffet dinner poor and saved only by an excellent bottle of red wine and the cheese. Breakfast was not much better. This hotel deserves a descent restaurant.

  Modern, welcoming hotel close to old town.

  Fresh, modern hotel a short walk from the old town, and with amazing views to the horizon across the surrounding countryside.Very friendly helpful staff. We had car problems, and the receptionist, Anna, made phone calls for us to arrange for a repair, and helped with booking some activities. Thoroughly recommend this hotel, and grateful for such helpful staff.   Good views at breakfast

  The hotel has just (July 2022) been refurbished (name changed from Vanguarda to Versatile) so everything is shiny and new.Half the rooms overlook the Serra, half are on a main road, overlooking a green hillside with a fairly steep walk up to the historic centre.Breakfast is served on the top floor in a bright room with a fine view out over the Serra.   Clean and nice Staff

  The room was clean and comfortable , big bed , bath and good AC, the only thing was the TV sound level was low and would go above 25, but cant complain I have stayed several times now and will return again CRP Guarda, Proprietário at Hotel Versatile, responded to this review Dear Peter, Thank you for your kind words and also for the note you left us.
