  Poor sleep , woken at 3am

  This is a mixed review Welcome and helpfulness of staff on check in was brilliant. We had the type of room we’d requested and super helpful with the parking We stayed two nights and the breakfast was very good with a lovely view over the basin ( be even better if eggs cooked fresh ) WiFi air con all good My issue with hotel if paying premium prices it’s reasonable to expect a good nights sleep. In fact it’s why you stay ! We were woken by about 30 + students singing on adjacent steps at 3am !! Not the hotels fault , but it was so loud that whole side of hotel without doubt would have been disturbed. My expectation is security immediately move on these people and call police This went on for 10 minutes at least On check out 2 members of staff 1 got it and was empathetic enough to remove parking fee. ( that meant something ) The other was , did you call down to reception? Answer No need as it was so loud , you needed to sort immediately ( little empathy ) Location of hotel is great , easy walk into town So its impossible for us to know if this is typical antics from local students but x2 nights disturbed sleep 💤 is a shame as hotel has many things in its favour

  Lovely stay during coastal cycle trip

  This was a very good hotel for our needs. Location is away from the main city centre but only a 15 min walk and as it is canal side there is a pleasant aspect. We had a great stay, room very comfortable, good shower, nice eco touches with a nod to sustainability.The lift was slow and one out of action. Firm beds which suited us.The restaurant was delicious, we wanted an easy option after a day of cycling and the food was sublime, especially the duck and the local dessert. Breakfast was plentiful and lots of choices.Staff were very helpful with our bike storage.   We love this hotel

  The staff are incredibly friendly, the location is great and the rooms are large and comfortable. They are very ecologically minded, so pack your own paper cups if you like them for toothbrushing. After several visits (we have family in Aveiro) we have a favorite room and they accommodate our advance request. Bring a bathing suit and check out the pool.. I generally try to register for one water aerobics class and laugh at myself trying to follow in Portuguese. Smart TVs can be hooked up to Roku with a little help from a staff member. Unique touch.. a little coloring book and a few colored pencils to help you unwind.   A good choice

  Great property but poor service.

  Our rooms were not ready when we arrived at 3 PM. We decided to have a drink at the bar which opens at noon but there was no one tending bar. We had to track someone down to get any service and the tables were dirty and had empty plates and drinks on them.The next day after touring around we returned about 3 PM and our room hadn't been cleaned yet but the maid was working only 2 doors down. So we went back out for an hour. When we returned at 4 PM there was no housekeeper in sight but our room still had not been touched. We left to meet friends at 5 PM and still no sign of housekeeper.
