  Location on the Lagoon is stunning Reception staff super helpful , cases carried to room Then a room with a view and what a view. Bed comfortable, WiFi all good Lots of places to sit and just have a drink and relax Our evening meal was tasty , fresh & again attentive service.   Terrible experience – Reservation denied without reasonI had a confirmed Booking.com reservation, but upon arrival the receptionist told me it hadn’t come through. She refused to check the Booking extranet or call Booking to confirm. I saw her answering Booking’s calls and hanging up without speaking.I was left waiting over 3 hours at night, without any help, and eventually had to leave and return to Spain to find another hotel.Completely unprofessional and disrespectful. If you book here, be prepared for your reservation to be ignored.   A gem of a pousada dating from the 1960s. Our stay took me back to those times. An unpretentious hotel with all the comfort needed for a short overnight visit in a charming location. The furnishing of the common areas we found particularly appealing.   The treatment of the staff and the views from the rooms make this place a perfect spot if you are near Aveiro. In summer it must be ideal to spend a few days with the swimming pool and the river almost under the building. In the evenings from the balcony you can see birds fishing.
