We stayed at the Puralã - Wool Valley Hotel & SPA in Feb as we wanted to see snow in the mountains.The hotel is situated at the entrance of the town and has a Domino’s across the road. To go into town centre, you would need to drive there. Check in was excellent and our room was ready much earlier than expected, the check in agent was friendly and helpful. We were in room 217 which was a suite with 1 king bed in the main room and 2 single beds in the living area. Robes were provided for all of us which really helped on the pool/spa days. The indoor pool is huge and very warm. There was no need to book a slot. We also used the hot tub once which was amazing. Unfortunately, people sit in the hot tub for long periods so it is difficult to get a chance to use it. I also used the hammam which was wonderful. The sauna had a lady sleeping across the entire bench so it was not possible to use. These facilities are only for over 16 years. The bathroom, shower and locker facilities were also great.We booked a tour through a referral from the hotel. The guide’s name was Jose and he took us up to the mountain and we were able to spend time in the snow. Breakfast was great, lots of options. They only did not have an egg station.There was also a kid’s area with play stations and iPad.Would definitely recommend the hotel and stay again.

A convenient, luxurious hotel.

This is a lovely hotel and the staff were excellent (the chap called Otavia was brilliant). The room was luxurious and the bar and restaurant were first class. The food was very good too and the breakfast was bountiful with an abundance of choice. My only gripe was the waiter at breakfast when asked for ketchup responded "Ketchup is not for breakfast, we only supply it for lunch and dinner." The customer is always right, it wouldn't have taken much to fetch a couple of sachets.

Great hotel for all seasons family or just couple

It was a short couple visit in September. Beautiful hotel, very cozy and comfy bed. The rooms nice and spacious, great indoor pool, sauna and outdoor pool. The staff is just amazing- they didn’t say NO to anything we asked for. Very good food. Nice breakfast with lots of local treasures.This hotel has (near the bar) great sofas area where you can just read, rest or chill anytime of the day. My favorite spot. As it is city hotel the views are not so great

Excellent hotel

I lead a tour of a group from Israel in 5* hotels. The only 4* was this one (In Covilha there is no 5* hotel) and this was the best hotel on our tour.You do not need stars, you need organization, nice service, good food, clean rooms - We had it all in Purala.We were taken care of by Bruno who was a teriffic hotel person.For sure I will keep bringing groups there.

This was a beautiful hotel with several amenities including a pool and spa. We also opted to have their continental breakfast buffet and dinner, which were delicious. We highly recommend this hotel when visiting Covilhã and Serra da Estrela.
