  We loved our stay at RIDE AS a family of 4 with two kids (2 and 5 years old). It’s just the right size to have a bit of life at the hotel, but not feel like in a tourist bunker with hundreds of people. It has a boutique kind of feeling to it! The facilities are awesome, with lots of anmazing infrastructure for the kids and us adults: the heated pool was a dream for our little kiddo who hates cold water. The cold plunge, the whirlpool, the climbing rock, the trampoline, the skate park, the little play ground, the games room, the gym, … plenty to do for everyone!Rooms were nice and clean, a bit tight for 4 people, but we enjoyed the terrace on the ground floor with direct access to the outdoor space of the hotel. The breakfast was amazing! We really loved the variety and quality - and the little bit of special extras that set it apart from a standard breakfast. People were really friendly and helpful at the hotel. The cherry on top for me was the massage I booked with Nadia directly in the hotel spa area. So easy and convenient and the massage was so good. Nadia is very good at what she does. With her wealth of knowledge on the body and overall health, she doesn’t just give you a massage, but really analyses potential root causes for your pain and provides you with tips, ideas and potential paths to explore to improve your wellbeing!   Great family hotel really close to Baleal Beach

  We really enjoyed a week at Ride Resort as family of four with 2 older teenagers (16 and 19). Ride is about a 5 minute walk to the popular Baleal Surf Beach, with a nearby supermarket and plenty of bars/restaurants (not forgetting a fab Ice Cream / Waffle place too!) The hotel complex is large in size but very friendly and quite quiet (there aren't that many rooms). It is very well equipped with lots for the children to do. My teenagers particularly enjoyed the gym, pool, sauna, jacuzzi, climbing wall, skate ramps and trampoline. There is a fantastic games room with table tennis, pool, air hockey and a retro arcade machine which are all free to use. There is also a corner for little guests with toys and paper and pens to get creative.The rooms are fresh, super clean and a good size. They are all decorated in a funky Pop Art style. Both of our first floor rooms had a balcony with drying lines which were really handy. Showers are really good.There is limited storage space as there is only 1 wardrobe (no drawers etc) with only a few hangers and half of the space is taken up by the mini fridge (which is useful but prevents any hanging space for dresses etc). Personally, I like to unpack and feel a bit more at home rather than live out of my suitcase but that was just a small gripe.There is a room to store your surfboards and wetsuits downstairs and you can wash everything off too.Staff are all really friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Good choice at breakfast (although the "hot food" isn't very hot at all which could be improved). The drinks and food (both in the Wow restaurant and on the snack menu) were all good and not badly priced.You can order drinks by QR codes on the sun beds by the pool too which was a lovely little luxury.For days out we took taxis via Bolt into Peniche a few times which were very cheap. (Regular taxi was about double the price.)Overall, it's a lovely hotel in a great location and I would definitely recommend it! ??   ??????????Absolutely amazing stay — we’ll be back!We had the most incredible time at Ride Surf Resort & Spa — everything from the location to the energy of the place was spot on, but what truly made it special was the staff. A huge thank you to Henrique, Leonor, and Mafalda, who went above and beyond to make our stay feel warm, fun, and welcoming.Every interaction was kind and genuine, and they were always happy to help, whether it was sorting surf lessons, giving local tips, or just having a laugh with us. Their hospitality made us feel right at home.The facilities were brilliant — great food, awesome vibes, and loads to do for every age.
