  The receptionist that greeted us 'Martha' was outstanding! She said they renovated the inside 2 years ago, and at first, it looks good. A/C is useless, peeling paint and further expectation show another story. If you want your room cleaned, ask or it won't be. A family staying treated the lobby cafeteria like a daycare, the 2 days we were here. I know not allowed to say anything these days. Sintra is overpriced, walk down the hill for better prices.. your meals everything is extra? Portugal not friendly to tourists! Castles are cool, but book early or they sell out!

  At the heart of the historical center is NH sintra it is perfect location . I had an absolutely wonderful experience staying at NH Sintra Centro and would definitely recommend this hotel.From the beginning, I felt very well looked after. I was kindly given a complimentary room upgrade for my birthday and recent engagement, which was such a lovely gesture and made my stay even more comfortable. The view of the palaces from the balcony was amazing. I also had several Amazon packages safely delivered before my stay, and the reception team were incredibly helpful in receiving them, keeping them safe for me and making sure everything was taken care of.A very special thank you to Patrícia, Nadia, Carolina and Pedro at reception, who each went out of their way to help me and were consistently kind, patient and welcoming. They all went out of their way and all deserve a special note. There were around nine members of the reception team that I interacted with throughout my stay, and although I unfortunately don’t remember everyone’s names, every single one of them was wonderful. The entire team made me feel genuinely cared for and were always willing to help whenever I needed anything.The hospitality and attention from the staff really made a difference to my stay in Sintra.   Great stay in Sintra

  This hotel is centrally location next to the Sintra Palace. Our family of 7 had 3 rooms with balconies and the view is fantastic. We can see the Quinta de Regaleira, Biester Palace and Moors Castle. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and considerate and we felt super welcomed. Would highly recommend NH Sintra to anyone staying in town.   I was EXTREMELY disappointed in this hotel. To begin, we were not allowed to be dropped off at the entrance of the hotel by our driver. My 80 year old mother with mobility issues had to drag her luggage through the parking garage and up a flight to check in. The hotel staff were rude. Two of our party of eight checked in with one person and were told of a breakfast special available only at check-in (they aren't breakfast eaters), but the others of us were not told of the reduced rate that was not available the next morning. Desk clerks were not at all welcoming, were cold at that. We were put in rooms that had two sets of stairs to access the rooms (beyond the elevator!) and were given rooms with a high tub that my mother could not enter. The building was dirty, and run down. It appears that the building had not been updated in several decades. There were issues that prevented other car services from picking us up at the entrance (despite my mother's mobility issues), and there was a lot of construction near the hotel. We requested that we be able to check out a day early, and there was no manager on staff to help us until 3 days later. When I was given the phone number to call the manager, the manager not only didn't answer, but never called back. I would advise against staying here. The people in Portugal are absolutely lovely, but the rudeness of the desk staff really soured our experience. That being said, the bar staff were very kind and welcoming.
