Friendly welcome at reception.Asked for a quiet room on a high floor at the end of a corridor and got it.Stayed for 5 nights.Towels and bedding changed more than once.Great lift.Plenty of choice for breakfast.Plenty of empty tables which were regularly cleared. The room was a little tired and old fashioned.First time ever I had no problem with the safe.Used the pool once..... 10 euros :(

Joined my husband for a work trip. Was pleasantly surprised . Room was very clean and very well looked after by our lovely cleaner . Breakfasts were great. Pool area was immaculate just a shame bar was shut and they were packing up for end of season, so tables etc taken away. Staff v friendly apart from the lady on breakfast check in.

Second visit back to Portugal and this hotel. It’s a great hotel and for the money, I think you get plenty. No complaints and would stay here again in the future.

I stayed at this hotel for 11 nights so I can write this review in an extremely realistic way. The hotel is located at a very convenient distance from Lisbon airport, in the coastal area, among other resorts, such as Cascais or Estoril. It can be reached by share riding in 30 minutes or in an hour by public transport. The train/bus station in Carcavelos is a maximum of 10 minutes walk from the hotel. On the ground floor of the hotel there is a shopping center, and there are many dining options around.Regarding the hotel, upon arrival we had an extremely cold and unprofessional reception from the reception staff. No smiles or politeness, rather bored and annoyed by the presence of a customer. Especially since I also spoke English. And this attitude was maintained throughout the entire stay. They didn't even look up when a guest entered the hotel. Extremely strange! This attitude continued with the cleaning staff on the floor. In the first week I thought they were angry with me: changing towels and providing toiletries was extremely random, some days they only changed some towels, others all of them, regardless of their condition. I couldn't figure out if the bed linen was changed during my stay. There were no signs of this.instead, a big bonus for the staff at the breakfast room - friendly and helpful. The breakfast is varied and fresh, but the serving schedule is not adjusted properly to the real needs of many of the occupants. Another management problem. The room, although spacious, suffers in terms of equipment and maintenance. The furniture is old, as is the carpet, the plumbing requires maintenance. The electrical installation was in poor condition: it worked with breaks, lamps or bulbs missing, not all switches were functional.Although the room has a balcony with a beautiful view of the ocean, unfortunately there is not a single piece of furniture on which you can sit and enjoy this view..As a general assessment, the hotel would be 4 stars with some goodwill, but due to the rudeness and lack of attention of the staff, 3 stars are more than enough

Mixed feelings.

The hotel has good facilities eg pool and room service. And bed was very comfortable with nice quality linen. Breakfast was nice but a bit frustrating to queue to get hot drinks (the third day they put in a second hot drinks dispenser so that helped) The things that let it down were the dirty stained carpet in the room I was in and the really dour staff (rarely smiled, were not friendly) And why have a mini-bar price list without anything in the mini-bar?I was travelling solo so the lack of friendliness had an impact. It was a convenient location though. It’s rated as four star. It might have been once, but not now I think.
