  What a romantic place . Cannot recommend enough. Excellent service and food was superb . The set up is like a fairy tale.   Best of the best— don’t pass up the opportunity to stay here

  This is the most incredible hotel I’ve ever experienced. Beautiful, charming, historic, accommodating. Everything is first class— from linen cocktail napkins to shoe shine kits and service. Dining is exquisite either for breakfast for dinner. Beautiful gardens, superior staff and even a historian to explain the rich history of this well-appointed hotel. A five-star venue.   Luxury hotel in Sintra

  During our visit to Sinatra we stayed at this hotel which is located in an ancient palace. The hotel has a very nice atmosphere and you can feel the rich history everywhere. The hotel offers free parking and a bus is stopping in front of the hotel which brings you conveniently to the different palaces which are all a must visit. But do not try to cruise around by car this costs you many nerves. Our room was comfortable and had a very nice ambiance. Unfortunately not all of the furniture in perfect condition.Breakfast was served to the table and you could also order some food à la carte. Staff at the reception and at the restaurant also really nice and friendly.   The worst

  This hotel had no heat in the room they put us in . The portable safe was broken. There were staff in and out of our room to fix the heat and the safe . Two portable heaters were brought in . Only breakfast was served .We were booked for 4 days , left after 2 days and couldn’t get our money back . It’s a beautiful palace the hotel reception was very rude when we asked if it was going to rain .   Loved our stay!

  Wonderful hotel in a historic building. Great staff! Ask for a historical tour of the place - done by the manager, who clearly enjoyed doing the tour. Was a really fun 45 minutes. And breakfast was fabulous as well. One caveat: it is a 10-15 minute walk from the center of Sintra, and while the locals do it, we don’t recommend walking back in the dark after your dinner. We took a taxi back each time, which is a bit of a convoluted process because of the many twisting one-way streets. But Sintra is great - don’t miss it!
