Best of the best— don’t pass up the opportunity to stay here

This is the most incredible hotel I’ve ever experienced. Beautiful, charming, historic, accommodating. Everything is first class— from linen cocktail napkins to shoe shine kits and service. Dining is exquisite either for breakfast for dinner. Beautiful gardens, superior staff and even a historian to explain the rich history of this well-appointed hotel. A five-star venue. Janet Helena Azevedo, Serviços ao cliente/atendimento at Valverde Sintra Palacio de Seteais - The Leading Hotels Of The World, responded to this review Dear Ms. Janet,Thank you for your review. We are thankful that you enjoyed our Hotel. We hope to welcome you back in a near future.Best Regards,Front Office

Luxury hotel in Sintra
21 Jan 2026
During our visit to Sinatra we stayed at this hotel which is located in an ancient palace. The hotel has a very nice atmosphere and you can feel the rich history everywhere. The hotel offers free parking and a bus is stopping in front of the hotel which brings you conveniently to the different palaces which are all a must visit. But do not try to cruise around by car this costs you many nerves. Our room was comfortable and had a very nice ambiance. Unfortunately not all of the furniture in perfect condition.Breakfast was served to the table and you could also order some food à la carte. Staff at the reception and at the restaurant also really nice and friendly. Helena Azevedo, Serviços ao cliente/atendimento at Valverde Sintra Palacio de Seteais - The Leading Hotels Of The World, responded to this review Dear Mr. Samuel,We hope this email finds you well.We are glad that you enjoyed the stay at our Palace. We hope to welcome you back at our Hotel. We remain at your entire disposal for any additional information.Best Regards,Leandro MartinsFront Office

The worst
14 Jan 2026
This hotel had no heat in the room they put us in . The portable safe was broken. There were staff in and out of our room to fix the heat and the safe . Two portable heaters were brought in . Only breakfast was served .We were booked for 4 days , left after 2 days and couldn’t get our money back . It’s a beautiful palace the hotel reception was very rude when we asked if it was going to rain . Front Office, at Valverde Sintra Palacio de Seteais - The Leading Hotels Of The World, responded to this review Dear Mrs. Cheryld1953,Thank you for sharing your experience at Valverde Sintra Palácio de Seteais. We are very sorry we could not meet your expectations which lead you to leave earlier. We would like to clarify that we offered an alternative room, which was declined as you mentioned that the room was now very comfortable. Moreover, after you informed us that you were leaving the Hotel early, we immediately proceeded with the refund of the three remaining nights, as explained in the e-mail that we sent to you on the same day.We hope we can welcome you again at Palácio de Seteais.Warm Regards
