We have just returned from a 7 night stay in studio apartment in the Vila Bicuda resort. The studio, 8024, was situated above the amenities (shop/cafe etc). The studio itself was of good size, with a kitchen/bathroom/dining and living area. Much bigger than we expected. It was very clean and modern. The outside balcony was also of good size. Staff were very accommodating in providing a travel cot and high chair for our son after making prior contact. The swimming pool and other areas were spotlessly cleans and the complex is self had a lovely relaxed feel. There is also a little park which was perhaps more suited to older children, that said our little boy enjoyed it. There is a bakery/cafe, supermarket and restaurant on site. The bakery/restaurant were both fabulous! Although I think these appear to be independently run they are a massive asset to the resort and certainly came in handy for us with a little one. We hired a car for the week and I would say this is a necessity if you are wanting to visit Cascais or any other local areas as the resort is about 5km away from the edge of Cascais. I’m not sure how good public transport would be but I believe Ubers were about €5. We went bit further a field with the car and found some lovely places. There is a Lidl within close reach, and would be walkable to those of reasonable fitness. The only very slight negative is that due to the position of our apartment we were woken up a couple of times around 6am by deliveries being made to the local businesses. However that said it didn’t cause much issue and was over as soon as it began.

Fabulous breakfast

We stayed in Vila Bicuda years ago and that was a great experience. So this year we went there again and it was as equally pleasant as we remembered. We had a spacious apartment, very clean, a large and comfortable bed and above all: Sacolinha, the on terrain bakery with delicious sandwiches and terrific cakes and very friendly people. We will definitely stay there again!

Great Family Break
14 Aug 2025
We came with our family and grandchildren for a week's break whilst attending a family wedding in Estoril. We had a T3 villa (117) which seemed to be much more modern than the generic photos on the website. All three bedrooms were ensuite, plus another two bathrooms. Kitchen well equipped; the only exception is small cups instead of mugs. Grounds and pools beautiful and well maintained. On-site cafe and shop very good. Didn't eat at the restaurant as it had nothing for children which was a shame. The resort is a couple of miles out of Cascais centre, so you need your own car or Uber app to get around.

A great find

What a find. Grandparents, parents and children had such a marvellous stay at the Vila Bicuda. Villas are spacious and the grounds well maintained. Regular housekeeping is brilliant. There are two clean pools and lovely grounds. On site there are a cafeteria, supermarket and restaurant. All really good. Very quiet and efficiently run. Can't be faulted

Very pleasant stay in cut, condo villas.

You really need a car to stay here, as it is a long way to Cascais centre and the ocean, or to get groceries. The is a well looked after resort with lots of well-maintained gardens around the cute, blue and white cottages. While we never used it, the kitchen was spacious as was the rest of the condo. Reception was friendly and helpful and a cafe with outside seating in the sun was wonderful for a pastry and a latte.
