    Great hotel (with one exception) and staff

    Staff were the most friendly and helpful that you can imagine. Special thanks to Mariana and Joao. They were stellar from booking communication through helping with delayed airline luggage, restaurants, laundry, etc. The hotel is on a very quiet street in a great neighborhood with many restaurants. Perfect location for walking tours of several neighborhoods and public transportation.Our room was on the second floor. It was large and beautiful in most respects. Management has, however, neglected to address the shower door which doesn't close properly. This results in water leaking on the laminate floor causing it to buckle and creating a tripping hazard and musty smell. Very unexpected given the nice quality of everything else.Breakfast was beautiful, with an excellent variety, and generous. Take advantage of complimentary port wine when you arrive!We would, in spite of the maintenance issue, stay again.

    From the moment I arrived, the service was exceptional. The staff was warm, professional, and genuinely attentive to every detail from check-in to room cleanliness and everything in between.Angelino, Hugo & John were super stars! ⭐️ I highly recommend it.

    The Pros: Our room was ready early. All of the staff were wonderful, welcoming and friendly. We were upgraded to a room with a balcony. The bathroom was my most favorite of all 6 hotels we stayed at in Portugal. The A/C unit was awesome. Breakfast was wonderful. So was the complimentary bottle of wine. And surprising to us...the location was great. The Cons: Our room lacked charm - no art/prints on the wall. Our room gave us this vibe of sleeping in some friends' garage because the built in (closet/drawers) and nightstands were made of unpainted/unfinished plywood - So bizarre. Also, our room was 2 sets of stairs up (and the 2nd set of stairs were almost like a hybrid ladder). The staff carried our suitcases up to our room when we checked in, but because we had an early flight out of Lisbon we were left to navigate two flights of stairs with 2 heavy suitcases. Also, this small hotel/B&B is not staffed 24/7

    The hotel was very adorable and located in a great area to get around. Hugo and the rest of the staff went above and beyond to make sure my stay was as comfortable as possible. I would absolutely stay here again. ❤️. The staff made sure I was safe when I went on tours, was accommodating to any food requests and loaned me an umbrella when necessary.

    My friend & I had the most wonderful stay at this charming B & B the rooms were spacious and clean the staff Hugo, John & Angelo made our stay extra special. Everything we requested was dealt with immediately nothing was too much for them they are all simply charming.
