  Couple of days ago, me and my friends we were in that in this hotel and we really like it. The room is clean. Everything is clean or very good.

  Very nice boutique hotel in very good location in Alecrim street in Lisbon. Absolutely perfect personal attitude to every guest of the hotel from the owners and staff - with nice sence of humor, deep skills in historical, cultural and gastronimical heritage of Portugal. Thank you one's again for the care we feel and looking forward to stay in your hotel in our next trip to Lisbon. Definately will recommend to all my friends who will take trip to Portugal.

  A Noisy Room 1

  I really have to do an honest review of this Hotel.I'd love to say it was perfect, but.....Positives, the staff are incredibly helpful, welcoming and friendlyThe breakfast was first classThe location is excellentWe used the taxi which was arranged by the hotel & again, excellent. The not so positives........We had room 1, which was large & spaciousThe attention to detail was excellentWe were on the ground level & the street noise was not great, but with the shutters closed it improved, however, the biggest disturbance for us was, as previously mentioned, the reception is right next to the room & loud/echoing conversations were most annoying while we were trying to sleep/relax.I guess the biggest disappointment for us was, we booked this over a year ago and requested a quiet room with a balcony Neither was honoured When we questioned this on checkin we were told the balconies were small & we had the biggest room 🤷‍♀️In summary I'm sure given a different room this hotel could be perfect, but for us, the disturbed sleep & our requests not being honoured was extremely disappointing 😑

  Good Lisbon Location

  We stayed here in Room #1 for severalnights in September 2025. It is one of thelargest rooms and as it faces the stree, it has lots of natural light. Unfortunately the street noise went on at all hours so you have to shut the windows at night. The side of the main reception desk is maybe 6 feet away from the front door of the room. So there was some noise from conversations occurring at the front desk. And conversely less privacy for us in the room. An issue for us was the dim lighting in theroom...especially in the bathroom whereone expects good lighting. There wasbarely just enough light while using the shower.Breakfast is pretty good with enough variety to satisfy. You can place an order for your eggs. There are cold cuts but no bacon or sausage to go with the eggs.There are a number of stairs and directions to navigate to get to the breakfast room. Not sure how they accommodate handicapped access.Overall a clean, well-located place and not too expensive. We would return as long as long as our old folks joints hold up.Be prepared for walking all the hills in Lisbon. We were reminded of just how out of shape we are.There is a very good Italian restaurant (Mano a Mano) just down about 1-1/2 blocks on the opposite side. Two Japanese restaurants are also located within a block. There is a mini-mart for water, soda and snacks down from the hotel. But there is no 'fridge in the room so choose accordingly. Going directly up the hill a block from the hotel is a good restaurant for the famous bifanas (Portuguese sliced pork sandwiches) which Bourdain recommended. The bifana was fresh sliced, warm, juicy and filling. But don't expect American style condiments and adds (mayo, lettuce, tomato, onions etc).

  Great location with excellent friendly staff

  We enjoyed our stay in Alecrim ao Chiado. The location is excellent. Walking distance to many of the major tourist attractions, close to many bars and restaurants, 5 minute walk to metro, train station or the water.The stars of the hotel are Gonçalo and Sameer. Both gentlemen were excellent hosts; providing a warm welcome, recommending restaurants and places to visit and warmly interacting whenever our paths crossed.Our room was spacious and characterful and nice and cool with effective aircon during hot Lisbon days. Only slight problem was we were awoken by noisy people outside on 2 occasions.Breakfast was excellent. Large buffet with lots of options and eggs cooked to order by the friendly breakfast team.Would have rated 5 star if there was an outside area or a better inside area to sit, other than just going to your room.
