    Perfect location for a golfing trip

    This was our base for a golfing. It is a comfortable hotel with helpful staff. Breakfast was excellent and we had dinner several nights due to the quality of the food and the friendly service. The hotel is very well maintained and close to the two Aroeira golf courses (with a complimentary shuttle - special mention for the "best driver" Michael who was so helpful).     Disappointing hotel and golf

    Lovely people but poor in a number of areas. The drinks were pints but so full of ice that it was ridiculous. The food in the restaurant was not enough after a busy day on the course. We were so hungry afterwards. And do not expect a hot breakfast. The bacon, the pancakes, the sausage is the eggs all cold. And that was at 7:30 when the restaurant opened. They had no hot plates. The pool was really unpleasant with lots of black rubber bits on the floor and it was so slippery it was dangerous. The beds were comfortable, but really close together for golf buddies! The rooms were clean and tidy and well looked after. The staff were great and tried really hard but the golf courses were the worst i had played in Portugal and no2 course was frankly a disgrace. Its also a 40 minutes drive from Lisbon so nights out are limited. The beach and sea surrounds the hotel, only if a 10 minute drive away counts!! A lot of work for these guys to do.

    Super calm hotel - a bit hidden, close to the golf courses. Rooms are great, food is really good, nice and calm swimming pool. But what really makes the difference is the staff. All extremely friendly, with huge kudos to the restaurant ladies. You really feel at home there. Very nice beaches 10 minutes away (Praia do Rei)

    Ignore the recent poor reviews, the hotel is far from a party hotel, it’s one of relaxation, beautiful surroundings and away from normal touristy chaos. The rooms are really pleasant, with lovely outdoor areas in all, we were on the ground floor and our balcony was still lovely on ground level with grass. The shower has 3 different settings and the water pressure is amazing. You’re also provided with robes and slippers, which are a lovely addition. Our room was cleaned every day to a great standard too!The pool area is super relaxing, the sunbeds are never over crowded, so you will always find some, the pool itself is huge and relaxing, with an area to lay on in shallow water if you’d like. You can get fresh towels from reception and we never had any issues with queues. There are free shuttles to the beach, the gentleman who offered was really polite. However if you want to go at a specific time, a Bolt or Uber will only cost you €3/4 euros. The red sangria at the hotel is really nice! Special mention to the waiter Diego, who was extremely polite and professional throughout our stay. The rest of the staff members were also lovely, despite a language barrier they were super nice.If you like a modern and splendid vibe, with a relaxing setting without chaos of the city, this hotel is for you! The hotel also doesn’t have many rooms, which means it isn’t overcrowded!!
