    Cute but Improveable

    Great location and value for money. Basically downtown about a quarter of an hour from the subway. The room was clean and you have to request daily cleaning as well as change of sheets. The bathroom often smelled bad. The staff is sometimes friendly but not always. It would take little for a qualitative leap in the structure, but if you have few pretensions it is fine.     This slum has a hotel in name only. The bedding is terrible, we had back pain every night ( 7 / 7 ) while we have no problem in this area. The mini air conditioner in our room was totally inefficient hence suffocating heat every night. The building is very noisy, we could hear the doors slamming as well as the footsteps of neighbors on the floor, despite our earplugs! The icing on the cake: the liquid that was supposedly a shower gel emitted a foul smell of rotten eggs. The conclusion flows: do not set foot, let alone nose, in this place.     The hostel keeps its promises:It is an inexpensive room with a bed and shared bathroom. The bed was good. You couldn't hear anything from outside (new good windows, with the option of shade). But it was very noisy from inside. We were lucky that the other guests were also very quiet.Everything was clean. There is a fantastic view of the sea (3rd floor)The room is keyless (there is an individual code)It was cleaned regularly.Everything was simple, but also just good.A top accommodation for the price Originally submitted in German on www.tripadvisor.de.     +++Good location 15 minutes walk from tourist areas. a nearby supermarket, Mac Do's 200 meters away.There was a kettle and French press in the room.Quite clean, the private bathroom has been renovated.Housekeeping done on request.Correct price- - -No coffee or tea available despite the kettle, too bad.Room a little dark. unpleasant smell of common areas due to the product used to clean.Musty smell in the room.Poorly insulated, travelers made noise in the night for a long time.not enough heating, we were a little cold.     There are advantages and disadvantages

    i liked the location (1 km walking distance from the heart of Lisbon), the friendly welcome, 24/7 availability, cleanliness of the room, the kitchen with a fridge. What was a bit annoying was the noise from outside - it seemed like a powerful cooling system was working (although the view from the room was great). There were some pauses but then the noise started again. So if a person is used to sleeping with ear plugs, it probably does not create a problem. Also the hostel could invest in a fan or better still, an AC. There was a TV but a fan would have been preferable. The price quality ratio was good.
