    The reason for giving a poor rating is for a 4 star hotel the surfaces wasn’t very clean, the window edges also very dirty, the air conditioning did work but the room struggled to get warm.The television in the room was very very old Sony which had zero HDMI option at all so could only watch the channels available, this frustrated me because I had my iPad with films that I wanted to watch.The positives Bathroom was large.Bed was comfortable.Cleaners did a good job but still didn’t clean the surfaces much.Staff very nice and welcoming.LocationThe location was okay, a lot of the area seemed quite damaged but was easy to get around as right outside of the station.So for me overall I’d give this a poor rating.

    The Czar Lisbon Hotel was a big disappointment; it is supposed to be 4 stars. We had booked half board and the evening meals were so bad that my wife refused to eat in the restaurant, the last night of our holiday. Breakfasts were ok however. The two young waiters in the evening were also great and probably embarrassed to serve the food. No draft beer available all week, but the wine was good. The receptionist on duty when we arrived, and there next morning, seemed indifferent to his guests. However, the location of the hotel is good, 20 minutes walk to the centre, or three stops on the nearby metro. The room was ok, good wifi, but almost impossible for the TV to pick up an English-speaking station.

    Unfriendly staff,expected more with the price that we paid.Washroom had a glass door that did not close,had to put the toilet roll stand to make it close.

    Terrible place to live in. Don't stay. Staff is unwelcoming and rude. Worse was the chef who guarded the food like a security person. He literally came to hit me with a tong when i picked up a bakery piece. The rule world over is simple, if you grab a piece by hand, you take/eat that... i could not understand what his problem was. Regardless, his body language was incredibly unwelcoming.

    We enjoyed our stay at the Czar Lisbon hotel. The room was spacious and clean. We stayed half board and you could choose to havr lunch or dinner as your second meal at the restaurant. Breakfast was simple, not a lot of choice but enough to find something you like. Lunch/dinner was nice however menu very limited so could get repetitive if you stayed for a week like we did. Overall would be happy to return to this hotel.
