    Rally? More Like Really?

    rating01 Jun 2026

I picked this hotel based on the reviews for being conveniently located and in a more quiet neighborhood. Well, it’s neither. The room we were given looks like you’re going to a janitor’s closet. It’s off the main lobby next to the elevator. The room is named “Rally” for the car theme I suppose but it should be renamed to “Really?!”. It is small which is ok but the bathroom is practically an aquarium with a see through glass so unless you’re traveling solo, make sure you’re very comfortable with whomever your traveling companion is. Most places in Portugal have very good windows so when closed you can’t hear the noise outside. Not the case here. You will hear people talk outside and every delivery truck that passes by. There’s also construction going on so added noise. Getting to the city center is a healthy walk or prepare to pay for UBER. I would not stay here again. There are far better options.

    Almost a 5* lights issue

    rating03 Mar 2026

dos Cegos, 3-6, Lisbon City Centre, Lisbon, 1100-465, PortugalAlmost a 5*, lights issue.Grate location and wonderful staff, room very clean and tasteful decorated with luxury furniture and great quality materials. Although in the old town inside it is modern purpose built 12 room en suite studio apartments. Complementary bottle of wine 🍷 in our room. Hotel’s don’t seem to have towel rails now, how are you supposed to dry them. Hanging on a hook folded won’t do it so draping over furniture seems to be the only way. Our room was serviced every day. Breakfast was okay good selection of food in quite a small area. Weird lighting two down lights and background lighting around the bead head, reading lights each side of the bed with table lamps each side. You can have the down lights and bed head lights on and then either of the the reading, bedside lights on but switching the main or switch by the bed all go off. Can’t have just one or both reading lights bead side on without all the lights on.

A gem of a hotel in Alfama

    rating18 Oct 2025

This hotel was recommended to me and rightly so as it’s a gem in alfama. You can’t go wrong booking this hotel which is clean , comfortable and with excellent staff to help you. It’s minutes away from the castle and in the heart of Alfama. I would stay here again

Everything started out great then the worse...

    rating01 Jul 2025

Diego and the front staff are great. Helped us with everything we needed. Location central, clean updated room, good space. Accommodated us in all we needed it was great. The first few nights we had no one next door. We noticed an adjoining room door but made nothing of it. The last night of our stay we had a couple come in and we could hear everything, literally if you know what I mean. It's terrible! Ruined the whole experience. Like I said we had a room with an adjoining door, I don't know if other rooms have this. I would ask before you book if the room shares a door with another room. I can't believe it in 2025 this is still going on. Where you pay good money and literally can hear everything the person next door is doing. It's unacceptable it really is. They need to come in and seal it, nobody in their right mind would pay for that. I am surprised that no one else in the reviews has experienced this. We were very very fortunate it was the last night, they came in late check in, it was quick and they went to bed. I would have asked to be moved because you don't want to hear that. If this wouldn't have occurred, I would have given it 5 stars.

    Great location. Underwhelming hotel.

    rating24 Apr 2025

We stayed in Dalma Suites for 3 nights in April. First thing to note is the location is amazing. Based right in the centre of Alfama. Upon arriving we were told the room was ready. When we got to our room the door was wide open with a maintenance man in there, so was told to return in another hour or so. When we eventually got into the room, we noticed one of the spotlights was hanging out of the ceiling. Then the window was directed to an exterior stair case (assuming for staff) which was walked up and down regularly so we had to make sure curtains were shut at all times. Also, the shower cubicle leaked which we mentioned to reception but was pretty much ignored and we were given some hand towels to help with the leak. Not sure what the maintenance man was doing prior to arriving! Also, there was a window in the bathroom which you couldn’t cover up (it was just a standard window and not even frosted) so anyone can see in when you’re in the bathroom. Hand rails were also hanging off in the bathroom. There was also no fridge in the room, when we queried this with reception we were told that due to our room being an “economy room” it didn’t come with a fridge. First I’ve ever heard of this! When we checked out, we was waiting in the small reception area for our Uber and a lady was checking in (ironically to the room we just checked out of) and she asked the receptionist if the room was ready and she replied yes. The lady came back down around 2 minutes after saying the room hadn’t been cleaned at all since we left it. As I mentioned before, location is what is saving this hotel. Unfortunately, the hotel experience was very underwhelming. It is fine for a short break, but any longer I think I’d struggle staying there.
