This appealing hotel is located directly on the Avenida da Liberdad at the heart of Lisbon. Links to the public transport as well as a selection of shopping venues are to be found in the near vicinity whilst restaurants lie some 200 m away and bars and pubs are to be found within 2 km of the hotel. The nearest nightclub is 2.5 km from the hotel and it is well worth paying a visit to the nearest beach that is to be found about 25 km away.

Facility

59 double rooms are located on 8 storeys and can be reached by lift. Guests are warmly welcomed by English- and French-speaking staff at the 24-hour reception desk in the lobby. Check-in/check-out service is available round the clock. Amenities include a baggage storage service, a safe and a currency exchange service. Wireless internet access (for a fee) is provided in public areas. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. The hotel has a range of facilities for guests with disabilities.     Good value at central hotel

    Very convenient location, with a small reception area; poor bar service. The room on the 5th floor was small, but adequate; window was permanently closed, bed somewhat hard, but OK for a hotel bed. The small bathroom had poor drainage and was cold (floor heating would have helped). Room service was fine, and the room was kept clean and nice. Good value for the money.     Excellent location near to metro so easy transfer from airport.Close to centre for tour buses etc.Nice and clean hotel with excellent staff.Breakfast is excellent.Gym is adequate for a workout.Only minor gripe is no kettle in the room.Would recommend DCH Guest - Care, Other at Dom Carlos Liberty, responded to this review Dear Guest, thank you very much for your kind review and for your excellent rating.     Really central, great to get around. Fantastic staff, both Reception and Housekeeping. Really good variety for breakfast, well presented and plentiful. Housekeeping changed our towels and pillow cases each day, maybe due to the extreme heat but was a lovely touch. Nice room with air-con which was a plus with the heat,Definitely one to return to and will recommend to others.     We had booked a twin room through booking.com but when we arrived they showed us to a small double! we are good friends but not that good!!! We asked to be moved to a twin but were told they had none available unless we upgraded to a superior room for the cost of an extra 50 euros!!! We felt we had no other option but to pay. We feel we were conned. Also we asked on of the receptionists for advice on a local attraction and were told to go to the tourist office.     Good location but poorly trained staff

    Nicely located hotel. Wide variety of selection for breakfast buffet. Clean rooms and premises. Staff would benefit from more empowerment, and to have a second person at the front desk would certainly enhance dramatically the client experience. Had to wait 25 minutes at the front desk because the person was on the telephone with an inside or outside guest, she did not even acknowledge my presence until she was done with the phone call. When I needed a room change, the staff person told me she had to communicate with the manager who was outside of the hotel to get approval for the room change. I was sent back to my room for another 20-25 minutes until the staff called me to tell me the request was accepted by the manager. Compared to our hotel in Porto, this hotel would greatly benefit from a special "client services" training.
