    Don’t book, poor experience

    rating26 Nov 2025

Though it may seem a good deal for the location, don’t spend your time or money here. Hotel smells - either mildew or dogs or something - and incredibly noisy due to construction outside. Front desk staff seemed to police the desk rather than be hospitable in any way. And, to top it off, they canceled my booking while I was in flight due to me not responding to an email… which I could not respond to nor did I know it was coming. Plenty of other options in Lisbon to choose from - learn from me!

Noise and mold is what you will find

    rating14 Nov 2025

I do not recommend staying here. Horrible experience. The room shared a wall with another building that was under construction. At 6 am there was drilling going on right on the other side of the wall (headboard wall). Loud drilling and banging. It was impossible to sleep until about 11 am. My daughther has dysotonomia which requires normal rest at a minimum. When I brought this up to the front desk all they could tell me was that they would allow me to cancel and not charge for the next night if I cheked out before 12 noon. I spent hours walking around looking for availablity and found it but it costly 6 timas as much. When I checked out they refused to not charge me for the next nightºs stay, never mind reimbursing me for the previous night. In addition, the shower was full of mold, the elevator is a 1 person only, and the stairs are wobbly and uneven. This place needs a total renovation or to close down. When I asked why woud not not inform clients that there was loud construction noise on adjoining walls, they basically said there is constructions on the side and across the street and if we did that we would have to close the hotel. No customer satisfaction whatsoever. Ironically, my daughter did see another family check out the night before when we were checking in and we soon realized why.

    Good bed

    rating08 Oct 2025

For the area it was in, we found it helpful. We used it for a room for the night, which I'm currently writing this review from. Beds in our room were comfy, and the shower was good. We had an issue with city tax being asked the first night we arrived, and the lift was fun in a svary way aha. But apart from that if you want a room and nothing more this is good and the location is great

Well placed but quite a few niggles

    rating10 Apr 2025

Very well placed hotel in the pedestrian centre of Lisbon. We spent 4 nights there. The hotel was clean, the Continental Breakfast was good and most of the staff were pleasant and friendly. However, we paid for a Superior Room which was very small (nothing like the photos on their website)There were no shelves or drawers in the room so we couldn't unpack anything. The bathroom was clean and modern - it looked new but there wasn't anywhere to hang wet towels (no towel rails or hooks) plus if it wasn't for some random stairs going into a wall!! there wouldn't have been anywhere to put toiletries etc.We asked about the safe that was supposed to be in the room and reception told us that Superior rooms did NOT have a safe (however, on the day we left, the room next to us had been vacated and we could see that it had a safe!!)We had twin beds, both mattresses were lumpy and had seen better days.At breakfast there was a distinct shortage of dessert spoons but cereal was provided, when I asked the girl for a larger spoon she said that they were short of them because people take them and she went away making no effort to find one for me. Another guest gave me her spoon in the end.The girl working that morning was completely manic and drove us mad rushing around the breakfast area. Also the glasses and plates provided were extremely small (the sliced bread didn't fit on the plate) On our first morning we were woken up at 06:30am by building work across from hotel, we were on the first floor and directly opposite where a lorry was being loaded with rubble!! We ended up buying earplugs which we used during the next 3 nights.Whether the other rooms were like ours we don't know but it could be a lovely hotel if it weren't for the little niggles.

Perfect location clean rooms 2min from sight and metro

    rating02 Mar 2025

Don’t know why it gets bad reviews, the location is perfect on the corner of the rue Augusta 2min from metro and 2min from famous elevator and famous arch and square. Rooms where clean and comfortable, only downside is soundproofing 1 night we had noisy neighbours but that’s not the hotels fault, lifts tiny but greatful as wooden steps are oldy worldly ok to come down but lift was great to go up in fit me and my little boy in but took a long time to go up! Just remeber to send it back down for next people! Safe well lit area on the corner of the Main Street so felt safe as a solo woman with a 10 year old walking the food on here is great and around £30 for 2 mains and 2 cokes similar to uk pub prices in the most tourist spot lovely bakery accross the road where we got pastel de natas and a juice every morning before getting on the metro. Perfect place to stay for a busy sighting trip around Lisbon we went everywhere from this location including a trip to the coast! It’s the only flat area of the old town and with the metro 2min we could skip many of the hills although obviously did lots of steps up and down the metro! The noise issues are down to inconsiderate guests which isn’t hotel fault so can’t counteract the perfect location
