    Valuable Item Disappeared from Room – No Clear Explanation

    My recent stay at this hotel involved a serious and unresolved incident concerning the disappearance of a personal item of significant value from inside my room (room 717).The item remained in the room and was not taken out by me at any point. This can be supported by photographic evidence taken during the stay.I was on a short stopover in Lisbon and had not left the room until I briefly went to the spa, followed by the hotel restaurant. CCTV can confirm that I was not wearing or carrying the glasses during that time. Upon returning directly to the room to prepare for a room change, I immediately noticed the item was missing.The matter was reported without delay. While communication from the hotel was courteous, the response relied solely on general statements that internal checks had been carried out. No concrete or verifiable details were provided regarding access to the room, timelines, or investigative findings.Given that guest rooms are controlled environments with restricted access, I expected a clear, structured, and transparent account of what occurred. That standard was not met.This is not a comment on individuals, but on process. The absence of objective information and accountability in a situation involving guest property is, in my view, a serious concern.I am sharing this experience so that future guests can make informed decisions and so that stronger internal procedures may be considered.     We keep returning as The Epic Sana is so Epic....

    This hotel is all about the brilliant people who work there. We have spent 4 vacations of 7 to 14 nights here in the past 2 years ......... and we wll return again.When you spend 14 nights in a city hotel you get to see how good or bad it is. In the case of the Epic Sana it is truly Epic - location wise, facilities, ambiance and above all the super teams in each section of the hotel. It makes it for great and really memorable holidaysTo the Housekeeping team and their great leader - we appreciate everything you do and the care you take even the public toilets are spotless and cared for. Since our first stay we have always been so impressed with the exceptionally high standard of cleanliness everywhere in the hotel. Each of our rooms are always a joy to return to after a day exploring the beautiful cityTo the reception team and from front door team a special thanks for your warm welcome and taking time to chat every time we arrived or left the hotel during our stay. It matters so much to have a warm smile meet you each day and check in and check out is always so smoothTo the breakfast team - from kitchen team to the servers - thanks for the beautiful, creative care you all take to make each morning so amazing. We still tell everyone that you serve the best breakfast in any hotel we have ever been and nowadays most are also 5 star but still can’t compare to all of you.     Great five star hotel

    Was here for an enforced stay after my wife broke her pelvis in two places and therefore couldn't go on the cruise. The staff everywhere were so kind, helpful and their smiles reached their eyes that they felt like they became part oof the family. All requests to make my wive's stay easier were acted on. Particular thanks have to be given to the door staff who nearly ran every day to open the doors to my wife, Thomas and Carlos on reception and Beatrice in the Spa. The restaurant waiting staff were also fantastic. The hotel was spotless with comfy mattresses and super soft bedding and pillows. Good blackout curtains and good air con but TV built into the mirror was confusing to operate. Did find housekeeping a bit hit or miss, one night the housekeeping turned up 8.35pm. The range of food for breakfast was vast and tasty with five star presentation. The spa pool was of a size that you could swim proper lengths but could have done with being a bit warmer. Great Changing rooms and relaxation area. The wet room and sauna were also very large. Typical five star hotel in that the bar costs a small fortune 2 x large wines and a small beer and it cost 47 euros with the service charge. Little bit out of town but shopping centre and park close by. Road outside was busy but good insulation meant you couldn't hear it.     The hotel was sleek yet comfortable, the food was good, the bedding was great, and the staff was very friendly. Many sites, small parks and good restaurants are with walking distance. Indoor and outdoor pools and a gym are a nice feature.
