Location

The city hotel is located right in the city centre, near Marquês de Pombal, the largest green park in Lisbon and a few steps away from the Avenida da Liberdade, the historical city centre, the river, and the city's most illustrious commercial and business district.     Fenix Urban is a good little hotel. Facilities are fine, a little limited, small bar and restaurant just does breakfast but it was good mix of fruit, meats, cakes, cooked bacon and scrambled eggs and on one day Brussel sprouts which was unusual!Location was excellent. 200m to Parque metro station on the blue line. Also not far from Parque Edward VII and the Marques de Pombal where the hop on hop off bus routes all start from. Airport was 35 mins via the blue and pink metro lines so very handy. Staff super friendly and welcoming. Luggage room to store cases. We arrived 10.30am after an early morning flight. Checked us in and told us to come back later for the room which was fine - keys were waiting when we came back. We had room 302, which is down a level for reception (remember Lisbon is ALL hills!!) and faced onto a road and offices at the back. Room was spacious as was the bathroom. You could hear the sound of a metro train every 20 mins or so but didn’t disturb. Was also a humming noise that I think came aircon units but only really noticed it on the final night.Lots of restaurants around the hotel. Would recommend Bread & Friends for coffee and cakes, Mazuma pizza and Shiso Burger. for a burger with Asian twist.

    We stayed her for 6 nights and the cost to do so was very good. It’s about a 20 minute drive from the airport with various forms of public transport available to easily get around Lisbon. The hotel is situated a short walk from Marques De Pombal which is where the hop on hop off buses are located to get your around the city and also where the Grayline Tours start from (we did a day trip to Sintra during our stay - tickets were bought directly from the hotel reception). The hotel is beautifully presented, reception staff are very welcoming, helpful and friendly. We had a twin comfort room on the 9th floor, which was very clean and spacious for two people. Breakfast is served on the 3rd floor each morning between 0700-1030 hours where there are a selection of pastries, hot breakfast options (porridge, scrambled eggs, mushrooms, beans, sausages, bacon etc), a toast station, a cold meats and cheese station, cereal/yoghurts and fruit station, plus juices and hot beverages. A generous selection to set us up for the day and we never had to wait for a table. We predominantly used Bolt to get around the city, these were very fairly priced (between €6-10) even for journeys of up to 20 minutes and everything was easy to get to from HF Fenix Urban. Would definitely stay here again, thankyou for having us!

    Room size was quite spacious, staff was friendly and very helpful. Location is slightly far to go city centre or Baxia area but there is a metro which is a 2 minute walk so easy to go around. Breakfast spread was quite ok. However, they could have change some varieties daily to give the guests more options when you eat there everyday. Overall quite a good stay and experience.

    The hotel offers everything you could want to enjoy your holiday. Lovely breakfast, plenty of choice, excellent service and friendly helpful staff. The room was excellent and very clean. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel for a lovely holiday experience.
