    Window don't lock, no phone connection from the room, no face towel, not even an iron (ending up buying an iron) or little coffee machine, not even a water bottle or a small fridge, not even a small showr caddy to hold your small stuff from the shower room... a bad experience from my 1st time trip to portugal. It's s the worst! Only 1 person from the front desk who is nice and accommodating!

    When booking a hotel, the quality of the bed is paramount. Unfortunately, my experience here was far from satisfactory. I woke up in the middle of the night with severe back pain and ultimately ended up sleeping on the floor.To make matters worse, I was not informed that the hotel was undergoing renovations. By 8 AM, I was jolted awake by the sound of jackhammers and loud construction workers, making any hope of sleeping in completely impossible.Additionally, there was a persistent, unpleasant smell of sewer coming from the shower drains, which made the stay even more uncomfortable. Given these issues, I believe this hotel does not deserve its 3-star rating. I would not recommend staying here.

    I was greatly disappointed by this hotel. The only plus is kind staff at the reception. They are updating the hotel, so there were no frudges in hotel rooms and during the day the noise form machinery was unbearable. They probably reckoned they woudl lose money if they close the hotel. Would not stay there again

    Second time staying at the Amazonia. In general, ticks all the boxes.NOTE: Currently undergoing upgrade work, so there are skips outside the front of the hotel, lots of mess out the back and the swimming pool is currently closed, so consider these points when making a booking (not sure how long they are planned for).Fairly convenient location, but Uber in Lisbon is cheap anyway so that is no concern. There is a hotel bar with Sagres on tap, 5e for a large - not bad really - although there are no views or outdoor seating.Staff were good (particularly Pablo on night shift who was extremely pleasant).Rooms were clean and housekeeping visited even after 1 night. Air conditioning in the room was poor but temperature was low enough to sleep with the patio door open. Bathroom clean and tidy and shower gel / hand wash available (including hair dryer). There is a luggage room available in case you arrive/depart outside of the check in/out times.Often has large groups for Batchelor parties - however this did not cause any issues whatsoever.Breakfast is standard but would recommend the many local options.

    The hotel is old and only the bathrooms have been renovated long time ago, though. Empty mini bar, not evan a small bottle of water and no cuttle. The breakfast is basic.However the position is a nice part of Lisbon, 20 minutes walk from Estrella church. The uneven room numbers have a nice view to the river side, can see almost half of the city.There are renovation works all day long.
