  Centrally located Budget Hotel

  We stayed here at the end of Jan...the hotel is centrally located and that's the biggest plus of the hotel. Everything is walkable. There is a supermarket closeby too.The reception staff were quite helpful and supportive.Holiday inn express as its name is a budget hotel ...so the room, amenities etc are likewise.Housekeeping in the room was average and so were the linen and towels etc.Breakfast was decent...however one day we had a bad experience . The breakfast timing is from 7 am to 10 30 am. We reached at 10.20 am...however the bread was almost over and so was the scrambled eggs. I asked the server to refill as there were still 10 mins for the buffet to close. However, she did not even bother and gave us a cold shoulder.All in all...a decent budget hotel with areas of improvement.

  Truly a horrible experience from front desk staff

  Overall, it was a disappointing experience. Upon arrival on Wednesday around 10pm, the staff member at the front desk did not greet us or make us feel welcome. His English was very difficult to understand, he spoke extremely quietly, and his attitude felt dismissive from the beginning. For a hotel under the Holiday Inn name, this was unexpected and uncomfortable.Additionally, the information on Booking stated that the hotel offers free parking. However, two days after we parked our car, we received a notice saying that it needed to be moved or it would be towed. No one informed us of any parking rules or restrictions when we checked in.When we asked about this situation with the woman at the front desk around 11pm on Friday night, her attitude was also very unhelpful. Instead of assisting, she simply told us that we were “lucky the car had not already been towed.” This was frustrating because we were never told anything about parking rules when we arrived, and the staff member who checked us in gave us no information at all.This made the stay feel stressful instead of comfortable. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel to international ANYONE.

  Worst hotel experience I’ve had in all my travels across Europe.From the moment we arrived on Wednesday, November 5th at night (10pm), the receptionist was rude, unhelpful and unable to explain even basic things like tourist fees or breakfast.They never informed us we couldn’t park in front of the hotel, and two days later we got a ticket. When we asked for help, the woman at reception which was on labor at night (11pm) just said we were “lucky the car wasn’t towed” and offered no solution at all.Our room for a couple was given with two separate beds, and reception, almost mocking, simply said there was nothing else available.I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Terrible customer service, zero willingness to help, and absolutely not up to the standards of a tourist destination.

  The hotel and staff are excellent. The location is great and very close to lots of shopping and restaurants in one of the main areas of the city. Then noise level was low, bed was comfy and curtains blacked out all light. I would stay again. Breakfast was great. Very close to hop on hop off bus. Uber was easy to use and affordable. Booked early morning ride to the airport from hotel - it was great and on time. About a 30 minute drive

  Nice stay in Lisbon 5/10/25 to 8/10/25

  The hotel is about 20 minutes walk from the Praca do Comercio and is well situated for most of the tourists attractions in Lisbon. Whilst the Rua Alexandre Herculano is a fairly busy road we did not have problems with any street noise. We had a room on the 5th Floor it was clean and well furnished, the fridge in the room was a pleasant surprise. Our room had a walk in shower which I much prefer. The breakfast was nice with plenty of choice, you even had hot options which I was not expecting. Reception recommended a restaurant called Dote, we had two meals there during our stay and they were both very good. We also found a steak house called Knowledge of Beef whilst a little on the expensive side the food was great. In view of the weather we were able to have drinks after dinner at the road side cafe/ bars which were situated on Avenida Da Liberdade.The main purpose of the review is to say thank you to Adrya Silva on reception, whose help when my wife lost/ had her phone stolen was invaluable, given that the hotel was fairly busy at the time she devoted a lot of time to us which was much appreciated.
