  A disappointing IHG experience.

  We were given 3 rooms, a newly renovated model suite upgrade, an old/tired suite, and a regular old/tired room with twin beds. Even the newly renovated model suite had major flaws--uncomfortable chairs, unusable desk (too low for legs to go underneath), defective water closet , poorly designed living area (TV screen to the side of the couch), dark colored furniture and window treatments, etc. The regular rooms are simply outdated--no safety bars in bath area (choose another property unless hotel ensures you get one of their 2 newly renovated model rooms). However, housekeeping did an excellent job maintaining super-clean rooms, and Pedro, front desk staff, was unquestionably professional, genuinely welcoming, and guest centered. Be prepared to be asked to pay in full--at check in--unlike in the US and Asia where you generally pay at check out. Relatively good location--close to a subway stop a shopping mall-and surrounded by restaurants.   Good hotel

  The hotel is in a quiet back street easily accessible from the airport via Uber/cab. There are 2 metro stations within a safe 4-7 minutes walk that connect you via the metro to most of Lisbon. Both stations are 3-4 stops away from the main starting point of all the HOHO bus tours. Very convenient. The same station that’s 4 minutes walk away (Entrecampos) has a direct train to Sintra (last stop) and back. Can’t get better for a tourist. The room was spacious although some may find the decor dated. The bed was fine, good pillow collection and I could set the room temperature easily to what suits me. The bathroom was decent sized, good water pressure and had a bidet. Kettle with coffee, tea plus safe in the room. The guys at the front desk were extremely helpful with tour information and general shopping tips. The older gentleman with specs and suit at the breakfast entrance (apologies, I forgot name) is simply outstanding. Extra star for him. Extremely customer oriented, polite and generally delightful personality. He was kind enough (and the front desk) to arrange a breakfast carry bag for me to take away as I had to leave the hotel at 3am to catch an early flight. Overall, a good hotel were few minor glitches that did nothing to dampen my stay. If I were to visit Lisbon, I would stay here again!!   Budget hotel, if you’re there for a night or two

  We gave it a 4, but it’s really somewhere between a 3 and a 4. The room was a good size, comfortable, temperature was good, but everything feels old. This hotel was built in the 80’s and it definitely feels like it. The hardwood floors were creaky, furniture was old.Breakfast had a very solid choices, and was included in our stay.Gym was a very good size and was one of the best hotel gyms I’ve seen.The check in staff was very nice.For some reason the lobby smells horrible. It somewhat smelled like sewage, and sometimes the smell was worst than other times.   Good Landing Spot, but not personality or great location.

  Convenient to airport but a few metro stops away from most sights. Luggage storage was very easy and a big plus. Clean, but a bit dated. Breakfast was surprisingly good buffet style for about 17-20Euro/person if not in a package. No omelet or egg station, but all other needs. Noise level was essentially zero, which is a plus.Tiny elevators. Suite was a great size for a longer stay. The staff was very professional and no trouble with English. Taxis easily available outside or with help of front desk. Zoo is nearby via Metro - get clear directions to best station before heading out!Not much else to recommend the area, but the hotel was fine and bed was comfortable.   We loved everything about this hotel but what made it very special were the staff. The rooms were large (we received an unexpected upgrade) and very cleans. We found the bed to be comfortable. Gabriel, Nuno and Juliana in the bar area were helpful and friendly. The gentleman who met us at breakfast was also very nice.
