Be careful and DONT eat here

    rating22 May 2026

MIXED FEELINGSWe would love to thank the amazing receptionists who assisted us as best they could to explain the local area, local traditions and places to go and how to get to them HOWEVER, apart from this and some of the beauty in the grounds. There is not much going for this hotel! The breakfast was some what disappointing and extremely poor. The same options every single day. With the following letting it down; "homemade cakes" left out for days on end and was rock hard and inedible as it wouldn't even crumble with your teeth, the "juices" were not fresh juice and tasted synthetic- this is the same for the yogurts they provided, the cut fruit was often badly bruised, not fresh and the watermelon was often "furry" meaning it is old most of the time, the bread provided for toast was stale and tasteles, the bacon was wet and soggy, the sausages looked like they had been cooked and sat over heat for days and the scrambled eggs were either super wet or over cooked either way whilst these were sat over a bain Marie they were ALWAYS cold. The coffee was weak and the "hot water" is infact cold water sat in a thermo flask, There is some cold meat and cheeses also but these seemed like there was no care taken considering this is a rich place for cold meats and quality cheese, it definitely wasnt served here. My partner has got bed bug bites from the beds and has come up in bites across her body including on her face. There was a huge amount of renovation going on during our stay which we were not informed of, paint everywhere, electrics hanging down from ceilings, ladders in lots of the hallways and the water for our shower didnt know whether to be hot or cold even after manoeuvring the temperature gauge, it had a mind of its own. The prices for the in house laundry is astronomical considering it was one of the filthiest hotels I have ever stayed in, I really needed to wash some clothes but wouldn't trust them to even clean the normal towels properly etc. I will be making a formal complaint to Turim in the hopes that something can be done about our extremely poor holiday experience. This is our first time in Portugal and obviously at a Turim hotel and by the looks and probably the sounds of it, our last. Good points- Luis and the reception staff were very attentive and very polite, funny and information. Some of the grounds as only a small part of it was beautiful but could be an absolute spectacle. The AC unit worked well. We had a mini bar which allowed us to keep water cold. This to me is normally practice but I will always look for good feedback with bad where possible.

    Full of Portuguese charm!

    rating18 May 2025

A stunning building in beautiful grounds.Furnished in traditional Portuguese style with tasteful nods to the modern world.Yes, the rooms are slightly old-fashioned, but this adds to the charm.Spotlessly clean, large towels and classy sheets.Best to bring your own hairdryer if, like me, you're not a fan of those wall boxes! The breakfast buffet hits just the right note. Don't miss the delicious mini quiche, the queijadas and the homemade cake.Take time to wander around the grounds. Visit the goats and sheep and give the resident cat a stroke. The staff are faultless. Thank you Alberto, Luís, Cândida and all the others (whose names I'm afraid I didn't get) for making our stay a memorable one.Obrigaga a todos.

Ok but middle of nowhere. Forget the restaurant. Just for the show.

    rating14 Jul 2024

Ok location but really in the middle of nowhere. Dont expect to do much unless you have a car. To stay around, SETUBAL will be much better. There is a restaurant but don’t expect much either. I waited 2 hours to be served and finally gave up. And no explanation. The restaurant is just for the show, but have a car and go out for food. Much better option.

    Charming hotel

    rating21 Oct 2023

Lovely hotel 25 minutes away from Lisbon.Staff was very welcoming and accommodating upon arrival. While there is no lunch offer onsite, I was recommended a traditional Portuguese restaurant 3min away by foot. The room was bright and clean - even if not the most modern, it was charming and had everything necessary. Breakfast table was well-furnished with some Portuguese delicacy as well as continental ones.

    Quaint hotel with superb staff

    rating27 Sept 2023

What a little rustic gem, old style charm, the rooms were basic but clean and comfortable. The staff were all superb so friendly and helpful and welcoming this was a huge plus. The beds were freshly made every day without fail and clean fresh linens and towels provided. The buffet breakfast was good with a variety of fresh fruits, yoghurts, cereals, salami, hans, cheese and hot buffet; bacon, sausages eggs! Rolls and sweet pastries so plenty to choose from.Fresh coffee and tea as well as a choice of juices….For the price it was good value.
