For us, this is a rare review, written for justice. Hotel Flamingo has been year after year a way to stay in Lisboa as central as central gets, simple, honest, easy in out, safe, all with prompt service. The down to earth, family-run feeling makes this a rare gem for us that well-deserves our five stars from long experience.

Do not go. Bed bugs. If you stay here it will ruin your vacation in Lisbon. I stayed at this hotel for eight hours and woke up with 18 bed bugs bites. Management takes no responsibility to take care of the problem. They did not offer me to write a review. Stay away!

If I could put 0 I would. For entertainment we liked to played “guess the stain” as there were many to choose from across the walls and into the carpet. Even better was the hop skip and jump to make it to the bathroom. If you have a 3 person room bring a scissors to cut a towel and a mattress in half as two was clearly a stretch for them. Staff were amused by our shock and even had to google what a mattress was for our empty bed frame and kindly gave us some activity suggestions such as putting on the bedsheets ourselves. Be careful who you book with because if a pool was photographed you will be sadly mistaken. We found out the hard way by walking out back only to find a dark alley where I presume only cartoon villains would find appealing. If you are religious there is a mat right opposite reception to pray, which we were tempted to use to wish for an escape. Even our taxi driver let out a concerning (ooooh) when dropping us off, which lowered our expectations (but not enough). Three words to describe are: mould, stinky and backpain.

I Don't recommend this lousy service Hotel to anyone.

Bad Customer service from Front Office Manager, don't recommend this hotel to anyone, when I went back to her after checking in my room to ask for an alternative room at extra cost she mentioned if not happpy I can call my agent and Checkout.

Shocking dirty carpets food lying open to the elements kitchen and waitresses unclean. Hotel told us food was nothing to do with them . No handrails on stairs very dangerous bathrooms from the 1960s climbing over bath. Very dangerous for older people screaming and shouting day and night. Just an absolute disaster should be closed down
