  Modern hotel in a convenient location

  Very modern looking hotel. Lobby is black and white themed with some seating. Elevators are small and there are two. Rooms are almost all different shades of white with movie posters We had Casablanca, others might be different, you also have 2 life sized Bogart and Hepburn in the elevators. Feels very bright and clean. Bed is firm and comfy. Deep Tub with shower quite hot and strong. We had a west facing room so if sunny you can't open the curtains in the afternoon until sunset - so depending on when you might be in the room more should ask for a room facing different direction. Room's fairly spacious. Two people can move around fine. Good surface to put things on. Electric kettle with coffee/tea in room. Good size safe. Quiet aircon. king bed, crisp cotton sheets. Towels a bit stiff. 4 pillows not bad support. Wood floors. Staff nice enough to let me check out at 1:30 which I really appreciated (normal is noon which is already much better than some others).Convenient location - Spar supermarket right next door. About a mile walk on leafy Liberdade to the center and waterfront. Many restaurants in between. Metro station just around the corner.Breakfast room could get crowded around 8 am with lots of families with children.

  Excellent value for money

  Nicely situated hotel just off the Marques de Pombal roundabout. It's away from the late night revellers who can make Lisbon noisy. Helpful staff, rooms kept clean and tidy, excellent and plentiful breakfast on the 2nd floor (though one coffee machine was much more to our taste than the other!). It's around a 15 minute stroll downhill to Restauradores and Rossio so you have the benefits of being in town without the traffic and the noise. No restaurant for dinner but there are at least six within a ten minute walk that we found.

  No breakfast facility, no tea or coffee facilities in room and no bar meant this was a poor choice by our agent as part of a package. It was clear the agent had block booked rooms as part of a cruise package. The room was well appointed and comfotable but being right next to the lift, it was noisy.Location is good and there are plenty of shops, mainly high end type, nearby.Nowhere near as 4 star hotel in our opinion.

  Great location, clean rooms helpful staff, what else do you want! Movie themed hotel, loved when the elevator opened and I saw a life size print of A. Hepburn or Bogey. Each room has a movie theme. Not sure the reason for the negative reviews. Most hotels in the states have the tub shower combo so stepping over was not an issue for us. The breakfast buffet had a wide range of items, and the view was wonderful. Location is withing walking distance of the water/ports and lots of toursit attractions.

  It needs better AC, but the rooms are good

  We stayed for one night. The rooms were stuffy and the AC could not be lowered. The beds are comfortable and the rooms were spacious. There are a few restaurants nearby but it is not near the tourist areas. The staff is helpful.
