  Excellent Stay Just Minutes from Sintra!

  I had a great stay at the Ibis Hotel in Sintra. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The location is also very convenient—within walking distance, you can find a pharmacy, a Lidl supermarket, McDonald’s, and the CUF Sintra Hospital right across the street. The hotel offers parking, which is a big plus if you're traveling by car. It’s only about 10–15 minutes away from Sintra’s historic center, making it easy to explore the main attractions. Overall, a very practical and pleasant place to stay.

  Stay at this Ibis and commute to old town by Uber/Bolt - save money !

  This Ibis is set in an industrial area with factories and warehouses nearby. A Lidl supermarket is nearby but it is a 25min walk away. Bus access is also infrequent. So why did we stay there? Hotel charges are low due to it serving the mainly blue collared workers transiting or working on projects nearby.It is very comfortable, quiet, rooms are small, but clean, modern and the shower / toilet - typical Ibis - minimalistic and all works well, especially the hot water as it gets cold at night.What to do for transport, it is only a short 15 min ride to the Sintra train Portelo station (not the main station). We had taken a Flixbus to the that stopped at this station and hailed an Uber to our hotel - Euro 5 for the two of us, with luggage. Don't confuse Portelo with the main station, which is about 3 km away. We learnt our lesson from Porto and hired Uber and / or Bolt everywhere. It costs about euro6 to go to the Old city (National Palace sintra) to visit the old city and walk around and have meals there. One tip, don't leave Sintra old town too late at night, it is hard to get a Uber / Bolt.Did not book the hotel with breakfast but decided to have the buffet breakfast the next day (starts at 6.30 am till 1030am) and it was a delicious treat, charged Euro9.50 per head for this all you can eat. Ate enough for lunch so skipped lunch and had an early dinner. Try it. We did not have the buffet the next day but had it the last morning of out stay as we were hiring a car to drive to Alcacer. Breakfast is worth it, have it but selectively. Don't think we can eat it everyday.We met a very pleasant man at the reception when we checked in and he was helpful in every detail, maps, where to eat (suggested La Taverna) and we headed there for dinner - marvelous place.Hotel lobby, waiting area and buffet are was large and comfortable, spent some time there early morning with a cup of hot tea to clear my messages.Saved money compared to a hotel in Sintra old town, spent more on Uber/Bolt but it was overall savings as we stayed for 3 nights.

  Really nice and cozy hotel.Room was perfect and very clean.Employees are nice, specially Bruna and Mariana at the front desk.The hotel has got a place to park the car for free outside, or paid inside.Nice and warm meals at a very nice bar located inside the hotel.Sintra is a very beautiful city, that you should pay a visit.My opinion, only missing a swimming pool, that would be a great addon.

  Decent place to stay if you have a car. Several miles from Sintra historic center area, but we left early enough to get a free spot in a neighborhood a few blocks from the National Palace, so that helps. Room was typical BASIC Ibis. Not enough pillows (just ONE per person); towels (again, only ONE total, per person, or trash cans (again, ONE TINY one). No fridge!! No coffee maker. NO ICE machine available for public use in the entire hotel! Very tricky parking spaces. They have about 15-20, which are free, on surface lot, but need to pay if park in structure below...only 3 euros, but they should just make it free. The bar/restaurant area was decent and convenient; fair prices for quick dinner. Breakfast 8.50 euros, but very limited continental breakfast only; not hot items... We chose to eat elsewhere and was less expensive. Not many places to eat in immediate vicinity. There is a very convenient Lidl and Auchan (large grocery/gen merch store) to stock up on supplies before heading out. Internet wasn't working our first night, but was ok the next night.In summary, inexpensive, basic, clean room for the night, but definitely no friils. Would recommend staying here, as long as aware of basic/limited amenities

  Great hotel. Ideal for short trips. Rooms basic, clean. Everything u need for short stay. Bathroom spotless. Large beds. Car parking available. Friendly and helpful staff.
