    We don't understand the negative reviews. We have been lucky enough to stay in some wonderful hotels all around the world for pleasure and business.We found this hotel to be well located, friendly helpful staff, our room 553 was large, quiet with a fabulous view of the castle. There was a large variety of food to suit every taste, all of good quality at breakfast.We enjoyed drinks on the roof terrace with fantastic views at reasonable prices.This trip was for my birthday and one member of staff in particular made our stay extra special, that was Paulo on reception.     We stayed here for 2 nights and found the room to be comfortable and clean, with a great shower. The rooftop bar was excellent and the staff there were all very helpful!The biggest issue we had was the outside noise during the night. We had a room facing the park and whilst is looked very nice with fountains, the people who loitered around it - especially after dark made loud noises all night - shouting, screaming, arguing and even with the window closed it kept us awake both nights - it was not an isolated incident. On checkout when we mentioned this to the reception staff we got the impression that this may be a regular complaint from guests! However we recognise that this is difficult for the hotel to resolve as it is outside noise, but perhaps they should mention it and provide earplugs! We were on the 2nd floor and heard chairs scraping on the floor from the restaurant - more noise to add to our sleepless nights! Breakfast was decidedly average - and we expected better!
