This hotel lies in one of the typical, hilly areas surrounding the centre, and an ideal location for tourists, who will easily reach Liberdade Avenue in a number of minutes.

Facility

The hotel has 10 suites and 8 double rooms, which are located on 5 storeys and are reachable by a lift. English- and French-speaking staff at the reception desk in the lobby are ready to assist you with check-in and check-out. Amenities include a baggage storage service and a safe. Wireless internet access allows guests to stay connected while on holiday. The tour desk offers assistance with booking excursions. Wheelchair-accessible facilities are available. A number of shops, including a supermarket, are great for shopping or just browsing. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Additional amenities include a TV room and a library. Guests arriving by car can park their vehicles in the garage or in the car park. Rooms

Rooms are equipped with air conditioning and individually adjustable heating. Guests can enjoy the view of the city from a balcony or terrace. The rooms have a queen-size bed and a sofa bed.     Hotel was good. We had a large room on the top floor with a beautiful view of the city. Receptionist Matilde was very friendly and helpful, made us feel very welcome. Minuses: the area around the hotel has rather steep hills. There is really nothing around the hotel (no restaurants, coffee shops or grocery stores). Anywhere you want to go - you will be walking for a long time up and down the hills. If you have mobility issues - this is not a place for you.     So many hills!!

    Real nice hotel. The receptionist was great and very helpful on our arrival. All the staff on reception and in the breakfast room were really friendly throughout our stay. Breakfast was excellent, a good choice and freshly made to order. The rooms were a reasonable size with a massive comfy bed which was very much needed after walking up so many hills! Also the shutters on the windows were handy on keeping the sun out and the room cool. The bathroom and shower were nice too. Only downside was the key to the room had a massive keyring which made it awkward to open the door.     I was really looking forward to staying here. However, when I walked through the hallway to my room, I smelled the distinct smell of sewage and the air coming from the air conditioning unit smelled off. When I got into my room, the room was different than expected from the photos. In the bathroom, the shower was moldy around the door as well as in the grout. There was mold and dirt in the corners of the room as well. I was unable to get a refund despite spending nearly two hours discussing with the manager. I did not end up staying here as I have a bad mold allergy and asthma. They kindly offered to clean the room and give me a different room the next day, however I did not find this deal to make up for the over $500 I spent to stay here for two nights.     Not good for foreign people to stay.

    If your an American this place is not for you. The water heater in our room doesn’t work right. I almost got burn because the hot and cold was set up the opposite way..When I complained at the desk. The guy told me. That room 403 water heater was set up the opposite way. You also can hear the people talking and movement in the other room . Even a slight movement outside you can hear them in your room. We went to breakfast this morning and the lady was taking order and serving food wasn’t really happy. I think she needed a raise so she can appreciate her work.     Huge Disappointment

    Huge disappointment when we arrived, not at all welcoming reception area, the gentleman who checked us in was very friendly,(I think Drago?) other reception staff did not look at all happy. The room was so tired, thought we had walked into a store room for old furniture, broken dressing table, damaged old bureau, flooring scuffed, bathroom tiles grubby. It is not a four star by any means, we had a room by the road side and it was noisy at times, asked for a change, it did not happen. We wondered if some rooms had been modernised, but do not know.
